The Classic (pre-Portfolio2.0) My Portfolios was easy to use. Forcing investors to use the new Basic (free) My Portfolios is a dis-sevice to us who are not frequent (day) traders. The added content is not needed/wanted. All those news article headlines on the home Summary page take a long time to load, and until then you can’t manage your portfolio.
I use Firefox. The new format has many flaws, here are some: (1) There is no way to copy/paste the portfolio values on the home Summary page and maintain some semblance of format. You can only print it out; (2) Print (not CVS) of individual portfolios doesn’t work well with portfolios larger than one page. You get holding names, but no values on some of the items, but instead super-imposed parts of another page; (3) I couldn’t get My View to work. Using the horizontal scroll bar is a pain, so I wanted to delete some columns. But most of the columns that are displayed are not listed, in My View so they must be unchangeable by default.
In sum, the new Basic presentation is too busy, and not user friendly. It is not a good subset, of bronze, silver and premium. You need a PC display with high resolution to avoild having to use the horizontal scroll bar., or reduce he display font size. I don’t know that it is wise for Yahoo to try to compete with other day trader software firms. Is profit really King at expense of clients?

Wouldn't mind paying for classic.

The latest format stinks! If I can't recover my selected format of old, I'll have to switch away from Yahoo. Your supposed "improvements" are costing me time and money.

If you get over 2000 comments saying to go back will you please go back to classic?. If we can't go back to classic can you at least make the new one usable. I've never seen a company try to destroy a product like this before.

Agreed! Please ditch this new format and revert back to the classic look or at least allow for the option. The new format is ******* the eyes, unpleasing to view, and more difficult to navigate.

All the feedback you've received on these boards has been negative, and now you're forcing this horrible design down our throats with no option to return to the usable classic pages. Shame on you and your contempt for your users.

The new upgrade is actually a signifiant DOWN grade !! WE are no longer able to see the MKTS ( dow , s&p , Nasdaq , gold , silver , dollar , etc ) on a minute by minute at the top of the page like the "Original Page" showed !!
ALSO ; under "indicators" , WE are not able to change the colors ! such as with ; 'moving averages' , which when displaying 20 day , 50 , 100 , or 200 daily moving averages , ALL ARE RED ! ******** is what it is !!
AND the same goes for the colors for the MACD & RSI ! ******** is what it is !!ALSO ,WE are unable to change the size of the displays such as having the stock chart on top , then the MACD , then the RSI ,
such as to decrease the size of the stock chart & increase the MACD , giving us the ability to see the MACD in great detail !I could go on & on & on ! You ( tech team ) have been receiving complaints about this for years , yet you persist in your
stubbornness to change to a format the Thousands of us users ,HATE , DON'T WANT , & CONSTANTLY COMPLAIN !! WE WANT THE ORIGINAL PAGE PERIOD !
Thank you

The old layout was clean, conveyed appropriate information and even had enough space for your ads. The new view is so bad, I'm back to google finance and won't bother using Yahoo ever again.

I agree this change is horrible. I wish the folks who actually made this change would at least be considerate enough to explain why they think the change will boost yahoo. It's very bad PR and forces me to look for other sites where I can get the info. If they asked for a small fee, I would be willing to pay that if they would allow me the classic interface

With classic, you can sort portfolio by market value, then reorder symbols, save and your portfolio is sorted by market value.
With the new FY when you go to reorder port, it does not maintain the sorted list and you have to manually reorder the list.
With classic, you can select multiple stocks and delete them
With new you have to do that one at a time and confirm each time.
Bring back classic. -

Ok, I can reproduce high CPU (70% and above) with New YF.
Chrome and Brave, win10.
Just go to yahoo finance main page, go to another tab.
After about 2-3 min, CPU on Yahoo finance climbs, fan starts blowing.
Go back to YF, refresh page, cpu and memory goes down.
Switch to a different tab, it repeats.
This does not happen with classic. -
