new layout stinks and is difficult to read

The new charts are the most unusable junk I have ever seen. They do not load are inaccurate. The fool that you paid to write the programming has justified his existence by making you the laughingstock of the finance community. FIRE this FOOL.

They keep trying to force the new layout when you click on a news article.

Leave the old layout. You can't read the portfolios in the new layout.

This comment perfectly summarizes my views as well. Don't fix what isn't broken, especially when the "fix" is far worse. Despite all the time and effort I put into creating My Yahoo portfolio I will stop using Yahoo altogether if the "Classic view" interface is not restored.

Give the readers an option to return to the 'Original' Format.

I found the link. You have to keep scrolling all the way down the page. On the bottom right is a button to revert back. It's really small.

Go back to the old version. I tried to like the new format, but there is zero pleasure in using it.

Yes, the new design of the main page is horrible, where to start ? Maybe in the simplest most important feature - the portfolios vertical list.
Old design: large font which is easy to read, Four columns ( name, last value, change, %change ) in same horizontal line which gives no priority for the browsing eye over any of the values. Which is the way it should be. Unless you allow to customize it, how would you know what value of the four a given user prefers to have "eye catching priority" for ? And why would you force priority and ruin the browse experience for anyone who doesn't prefer that priority.
There is ample spacing between the value columns, making it easy to read.New design: Small, no, sorry, tiny font, very hard to read. Three columns only and the center one is a totally unwanted, unusable, huge space taking mini-mini-mini chart, I mean I think that's what it is supposed to be. It may be a smudge on my screen, it's just impossible to gather what you put there, And all the three useful values ( last value, change, %change ) that had three conveniently spaced and readable columns are now in ONE column with two sub-mini-mini-mini-rows. Last value is on top of the others, forcing "eye catching" priority that I did not ask for and do not want. And the change values are below, one next to the other with no spacing which makes it so hard to read and distinguish between the two,
I didn't study UX but I am looking at what you did and if that is not what good UX should be about only BACKWARDS, then I don't know what is, If this all follows some UX "bible", be brave to shout "this is totally backwards" and change the bible or just follow your logic and your guts instead. It can't be that they will point to these UX disasters, If they do, poor us users and please consider looking for a new field to work in.
Cheers.

Once again, Yahoo trying to force feed their changes to something that didn't need changing. Looks like I need to find a new finance news sight because this is unacceptable now.

Yeah it's bad. Especially on a large high-resolution monitor, it's impossible to see anything without a magnifying glass. I assume this is some mobile first insanity, but when my monitor is 4k or 8k and 40+ in wide, the quotes do not dynamically size and I'm looking at an equivalent of like size 4 font with no way to resize it.
Also, to anyone looking for the classic version, they moved it, but you can still find the link to classic somewhat hidden at the bottom of the screen below the quotes on the right side.

Please add a "back to classic" button. This view is not designed for users. It is awkward and doesn't address users' needs. PLEASE

I want to have the ability to switch back to the classic view. The modern view is ugly and not intuitive. We have to relearn how to navigate and nothing has the same look and feel anymore. It's aweful. My stock charts are completely out of wack and doesn't even function properly. Take my money and give me the classic view. Fire your enginneers. Learn from Google and Apple and introduce minimalism. What is your obsession with modern view that angers your users?
