Portfolio2.0
Portfolio 2.0 not showing up in web version of finance..how to revert to original?

We appreciate your feedback regarding the new portfolio view. Our product team has reviewed these suggestions are is working on implementing changes. One thing we are implementing is a collapsible dock in the portfolio view so you can view more holding data.

Holy cow! My yahoo finance account has just destroyed all the work I did to manage it.
Whoever came up with the changes, and anyone who approved of them, should be immediately discharged.
I can no longer trust anything named Yahoo. -

I thought it was my 17" laptop or my choice of font size; but you are telling me they purposely put it that way. I would give up my ad space, to get more ad space than before. They have to go back to salesman school. I have chosen to own less stocks and no warrants in order to fit the screen better and more accurately view.

A little novelty is nice but not always at the expense of all the planning and orderly thought. Or it looks like all when we have to put up with less and it is compulsory.

Portfolio 2.0 was a disaster for me. Almost unusable. I created workarounds but it was definitely a downgrade.
Now you've made it WORSE and the button to roll back to "classic" doesn't work!
But the fact is that I don't want to roll back to "classic" because what you call "classic" is that 2.0 garbage. I want the version before 2.0 ... that was the last good version. -

-NOT CONVENIENT: Scrolling to bottom of portfolio so I can scroll across.
-NOT COOL: DOCK taking viewing space when checking my portfolios. The Dock is cool when I am viewing single stocks.
-NOT COOL: "Back to classic Yahoo! Finance" button NOT working. -

In addition to ruining the viewer experience the box at the top of the portfolio is so huge it takes up half the page. Put the portfolio totals and pcts right above the portfolio in the spreadsheet area. Is this direct tv which is trying to lose viewers? terrible. Here's another idea. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I will assume the idiots at apollo had a hand in this?

I will upvote this and re-iterate. The new portfolio view is unusable for someone with 40-50 symbols tracked, entirely too much scrolling and swiping involved. The older view was just about perfect as it was, it is now unusable, and if it is not fixed, or better yet, rolled back to previous version, you are losing a paying subscriber. (Probably more than just one!) At the very least, give us a "back to classic 2.0 View" so we can choose instead of having this useless **** forced on us.

Terrible UX. Most of the time it does not refresh in real time. When it does, only the price column refreshes.

Agree to all negative against 2.0. Anyone who approved the release made the decision without testing functionality. Big mistake anytime there is no accountability within the team. And now months later no workable updates. Yahoo Finance must be intentionally driving users away from this platform.

Loss totals on MY YAHOO page...Please bring that back. It's nice to see gain / loss in a quick look.

Same here, I found a very nice alternative that suits me just fine, It has some things Yahoo doesn't but missing some things Yahoo does have, but for 79 bucks a year, I'll go to them if these changes don't get rolled back or resolved, and Yahoo can kiss my subscription goodbye.

I have a portfolio that I cannot see because you limited the visible number of stocks to 12 in the main view and forced me to click "view more" instead of loading the entire portfolio, which you do in the less useful and redundant side panel. Although you implemented full scrolling for horizontal space at the same time. Assinine. You also gave me no way to increase that number 12 for the initial page. So I am forced to make an extra mouse click every time I load or reload the page
Your web designers should be fired. They have no UX skills whatsoever. Yahoo finance has continued to degrade over the years to the point that I'm considering managing my portfolio view in another platform after years here.
Probably why Yahoo Finance sucks across the board.
The Community section is horrible. Auto content rejection algos suck. Mute users features don't work properly at all. MB authn disappears even while page/account authn remains in place... Not clear why they are separate anyway. I had to sign into this page separately also. Horrible dev, horrible testing, I would come out of retirement and apply my 35 yrs IT experience and INCOSE ESEP to fix your *****, but you couldn't afford the salary and autonomy I would insist on. -

100% agree with the above. I cannot believe you now require all the scrolling to the right to see all the columns I set up in my custom portfolio view. Whoever is approving these changes does not seem to understand that usability and ease of use is very important. Now I have to go find another platform and spend time to set up all my portfolios from scratch.

My portfolio 2.0 just stopped loading and the only support I got was to delete my browser cookies. I did that and deleted all the items in my portfolio and it still didnt work. I've tried edge, chrome, safari. Yahoo, get your **** together. Good thing I have a redundancy app to track my investments. Can bever be too trusting with free things.

Whoever thought 2.0 was a good idea should be fired. It unusable for me. I will be looking for an alternative.

I spend more time scrolling up and down and left and right than I do understanding my holdings. Columns are too wide and tall resulting in too much white space (and more scrolling). I can no longer read my notes. Once I get adjusted to a format, you change it again. Go back to what it was before 8/14/2024. What you have done is made it unpractical to use.
