How do we delete a portfolio? Previous question on this forum just takes me back to the cover page about sending a question.

To delete a portfolio, follow these steps:


  1. Click on "My Portfolio" in the navigation menu.
  2. Choose the portfolio you wish to delete from the list under "My Portfolios."
  3. On the right side, click on "Settings" and select "Delete Portfolio."
  4. Confirm the deletion by clicking "Confirm."


If you encounter difficulties deleting the default "My Watchlist" or a renamed version of it, we're aware of this issue and are actively working on a solution. Thank you for your patience!

    I can't find any way to delete any group of my portfolio. Please set it up easily for users to do it just like to delete a stock in a portfolio.

    Your Settings function does not include a portfolio delete option for older portfolios created prior to Verizon. Please correct this option.

    I cannot delete a portfolio. When I click on the portfolio, and click on the "Settings" icon. I get the following options...
    Edit Currency
    Add Holdings
    Streaming Quotes: On
    Compact Table Density: Off
    Rename Portfolio

    I'm using Firefox browser. Tried on my android phone as well. The "Delete Portfolio" option is missing. Can someone help?

    I have this same issue.
    I cannot follow the steps below because there is no Edit list icon

    Tap the name of the list you want to delete.
    Tap the Edit list icon Image of the Edit list icon. in the upper right corner.
    At the bottom, tap Delete watchlist.
    Tap OK to confirm.

    The article cited to use the latest browser version, disabling add-ons, ensuring javascript is enabled etc.; these efforts have not worked.

    I made another significant observation. The "delete portfolio" item in Settings is missing only in the most recent portfolio I created. The name of this portfolio is "Newest". The "delete portfolio" item is present, however, in all of my old portfolios. It's just that I had not noticed it, as I had no reason to delete the old portfolios.

    The same observation has been made from different machines, latest versions of browsers (Chrome & Firefox), ensuring javascript is working. Therefore, to me, the problem is specific to how this recent portfolio was created or its metadata and not my browser/computing environment. Else, why would I see the option in all of my other portfolios.

    If you can review my account, please see the portfolio called "Newest".

    Please. add back Edit Portfolio. Delete Portfolio to you Yahoo Finance. These options are also important when we need to edit our portfolios or delete one.

    A user had posted this problem as recently as May 2018. Yahoo Product Support Admin responded with:

    This does not work.

    I also created a portfolio I want to remove. When I select the portfolio and "mouse over" to the Settings gear, there is no option to delete or remove a portfolio.
