When I open an email and read down - it jumps back to the top all the time
Stop interfering when I am scrolling down and reading an email. The program keeps jumping me back to the top of the email.

Still waiting for a fix to this issue. It has been ongoing and was reported over a year ago. It is good to know it is under review but when does the review conclude and the issue gets fixed?

Yes! This is my one complaint with Yahoo! Mail. I've used it for years, the spam filter is the best I've ever seen, I'm comfortable with everything else...
except THIS! Makes it hard to read emails beyond the 1st screen. VERY annoying. Actually has me seriously considering -- for the 1st time -- switching to a different email service. (I really don't want to, but...)I normally use Firefox under Linux Mint 17.

This behavior occurs when trying to move an email manually to a folder.

It just flips from the top to the bottom. If you use multiple email folders for filtering. anything near the top or bottom 4-6 folders at the scrolling edge of the box at any time are very difficult to get too.

For some reason everytime I'm reading an email it moves back up to the top of email. I hate this and - thinking of opening a new email account on Google but I really like Yahoo. Please fix this issue.

When I attach anything to an email now the screen jumps down and shows that the item was attached. When I try and go back to the top to finish writing my email or to review what I have written, I cannot go all the way to the top and see the header or the beginning of the message. This is very odd. Why can't I scroll back up after attaching a file?

Error: If I scroll down to read the e-mail after few seconds it is scroll up automatically.
Work around: If I click inside of email after scroll down, it is stopping the automatically scroll up.

Same problem here. I thought it had something to do with the ads loading in the right frame. Still no fix or suggestions of a fix?

Every time I try to read an email, it refreshes back to the top of the page!!! It is THE MOST IRRITATING THING I'VE EVR SEEN. I can't get through one friggin' email without having to slide back down and try to find my place and by then it's flipped back up to the top of the email ... FIX THIS GLITCH. I'm going back to my old mail, thank you, this SUCKS

Stop the mail from jumping to the top of the letter. If I'm reading something, or scrolling to the bottom of an open mail, it jumps to the top. I have to keep my mouse on the scroll bar. It should stay where I stop in the open letter.

When scrolling down within a message, it repeatedly flips back to top of message.

Thanks for the good laugh. I too have the same frustrating issue. Why does Yahoo keeps screwing around with us when things are just fine, except for adds polution.

I don't like the new format - it keeps jumping around. Trying to open an attachment & it jumps to the top of the email. Really annoying.

How about making the email page sit still while I'm trying to read it? I scroll down and the little beauty keeps returning to the top of the page. I'm about to vomit on my keyboard from motion induced nausea trying to read my mail. I'm about ready to quit using Yahoo all together.

UPDATE --- this seems to be happening for me when using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7, somewhat randomly but especially if I move the mouse over to where the ads are. When using the latest Firefox, the same messages behave and do not jump back to the top every now and then.
Most of the comments here do not say what browser and operating system they are using, but I have heard that Microsoft has discontinued any real support for IE11.
