AD's
The **** ad's slow the email process, during the composition of an email as the ad changes it freezes the program. There is no need to have ad's in the email section, seriously how many people do you honestly think watch the **** at all? I'll give this **** a chance, but there should be an option to change back .

Yes I have the same problem with typing. On an ordinary keyboard, nothing to do with touch screens as far as I can tell. Perhaps it has to do with my internet connection being slow, but I didn't have this problem in the old Yahoo Mail. Is it possible to do the composing on my computer and only send it to the server when I hit send, instead of what seems to be happening now: send every letter across the ocean and then back while I type it?

Have 3 things to add here...
1) Your programmers should be ashamed of themselves. My email page hangs every time the ads change.2) As an Anglo I just wanted to say that its beyond annoying that you keep wasting my bandwidth with French ads. I don't speak French.
3) "Ad-Free" Yahoo isn't available in Canada. yet you have 2 links to "ad-Free" mail inside yahoo.ca email settings... which only takes users to a page to let them know Canadians can't subscribe to it. Why bother even teasing us with the option?
No skin off my nose; As email subscription service is not available in Canada I've installed an ad-blocker to remove them myself. -

Ad content should be centralized and controlled by Yahoo and delivered by the same server processing the email subsystem. The multi-party sourcing of content makes the rendering of content too slow and impossible for Yahoo to manage the QoS. Some of the other suggestions are just patching over the fact that you cannot control what you do not host yourself. If you want a good user experience serve the ad content from your servers and charge the ad providers to host that content.

Cannot scroll 50% of the time. If we weren't tied into YAHOO for the past 15 years, we would switch to AOL or GMAIL.

When I'm trying to type in addresses unless I go one letter at a time with one finger at a time the letters disappear. You can't type normally. This needs to be fixed please.

Your new mail is not an improvement. Now my typing is delayed and my navigation arrows don't work. Gmail here I come.

I don't understand the need for multiple, rotating ads which are at least 20% of the page wide. gmail seems to be doing just fine without them, why can't yahoo? Because of them, I must reboot my browser (chrome) at least once every 8 hours because it becomes a memory hog. (I do not have that problem unless I have yahoo mail open.)
