The folders hierarchy does not show any unread emails.
The folders hierarchy does not show any unread emails in the box name. If there are any unread emails, I have to go to each folder and check. I have quite a few filters and it is tedious to go to each folder and check if there were any emails on that day.

Lots of filters and nested folders - great - but no way to see if there are unread messages without painstakingly expanding each and every one? What? Please, this would be so simple to fix. Either total the unreads for the folder, or else have a separate counter beside the regular one, but coded slightly differently (like hollow instead of solid background colour), to show that folders within this one have unread emails too. Please. I can't believe this issue was opened over three years ago and still hasn't been dealt with.

I also HATE HATE HATE that my folders don't tell me I have unread emails. What a simple fix this would be. I've put up with it WAY TOO LONG! Just found something in my spam folder that I needed and SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT I HAVE UNREAD EMAILS IN EACH FOLDER!!!

i agree and HATE HATE HATE this and refused the upgrade and NOW i was forced at gunpoint to change over and i left many comments over a time period to ask that they correct this and they either refused or ignored all of us.

it is a SAD SAD day

I have lots of folders and its hard to know if I have any new Emails in the folders unless I scroll down. I just updated to the newest version of Yahoo email and this was not a problem in the older version of Yahoo Email ... it always told me if I had new email including what was in folders.

I encountered the same issue. I renamed a parent folder containing multiple child folders, with the intention of renaming the entire group.
After renaming the parent folder, the link to the child folders was broken. Now, all of these folders are parent folders and will not allow the child folders to be reattached to the parent folder.

Folder Renaming issue in the new interface - it allowed me but all subfolder moved to parent folder level.
Could you please bring back the option to rename the folders which has got subfolders?
It is really a useful option...Hope No limitations in folder management

Please show the number of all unread e-mails next to each standard folder of each mailbox and not only for "INBOX" and "DRAFTS".

Make Spam folder bold when it has new mail in it. Also, indicate how many new mail items.

I want to see how many emails are in spam

seconded/thirded/whatever ... count of unread on spam helps greatly when looking for not-spam, especially if the not-spam is time-sensitive. It should just be on all folders, period.

100% agree and for us stupid saps that still use Messenger, no new message indicator from the mail home screen any longer.

I preferred seeing the number of e-mails in each folder. Whay was that taken away?

Given how often Yahoo is hacked and this new format of having to hunt down which folder has unread messages, I am about to just delete the whole thing. I have been with yahoo for years but it's not convenient anymore. And there seems to be no solution to the emails not showing unless I use my cell phone and don't like using such a small screen for that!

I miss seeing the unread count by each folder, especially SPAM and TRASH. Would also like to see it on the new UNREAD folder without my having to click on it. The UNREAD folder is a time-saver when I just want to mark all my new mail as read and I've used filters to sort it into many different folders. But by not showing the unread count, it really slows me down or I forget to check my SPAM folder completely. Sometimes I just get frustrated and click on Contacts, which brings me back to the old Yahoo Mail. At least everything is visible there, instead of this new, "Don't ask, Don't Tell" Mail program. Please fix it.

Yes! Show the unread emails behind the main Folder heading and the Spam heading also!

Wish they still listed total # of unread emails right beside Folders. Now I have to scroll over all to see what is new.

Driving me nuts! I want to glance at all my folders to check new emails. Talk about waste of time.

In old mail, there was an indication at "Folders" when new mail arrived in any folder. I don't see that in new mail and would like to have that back.
