Filters
You used to be able to "filter" emails straight from the body of the email. Now there's not an option for that. Instead you have to open the settings, create a filter, going back and forth to the actual message to create the filter. Bring back the option of "filter emails like this" in the body of the email.

The classic email offered the ability to add a filter in a couple of clicks by auto-populating values based on an existing email. This made creating new filters very easy.
It's the reason I stayed with classic mail until the end. You've made this so much harder now! You almost have to get a pen and paper out and write down the details of an existing mail, go through 3 or 4 menus until you can click "add new filter" and type in the necessary details.

Yes this is a step backwards.

why has yahoo done nothing about making it easy to add filters - the current set up in the new improved mailbox is positively archaic

Well, as of 1/31/19 I am forced to switch to so called upgraded yahoo mail. The absence of the ability to assign a filter to a message from the inbox is completely inexcusable and is beyond horrible. I even pay yahoo each year to keep ads off my mail. What a waste!

Filters are very crucial to organizing my mail. It should be easy to access in the menu n the email like before. The new way is too complicated. If not fixed will have to switch to another email provider.

Restore filer too. The old email had easy access to setting up filters by clicking on the ellipsis. It made it easy to set up the filter. It's gone in the new email and now it's very cumbersome to set up filters. Please restore that capability.

This is unacceptable. Also trying to manage filters is a nightmare! No drag function and if you have long list, you have to go all the way back up and can't even see what you are moving to where. This is grossly incompetent.

in older version there use to be a shortcut for filtering a particular email.
its like ' spam ... more'
in more option it provides to filter particular email saying 'filter email like this'
i like the more option. it helps me to filter particular email.
new version is missing this. i am hating the new version bcoz of this. -

This missing feature was the main reason I didn't want to change and they still haven't implemented it....

On your classic mail, you had a function where you can right click on an email and create filters based on these types of emails. After moving to the new email platform, I can no longer find that function. That's the exact reason why I stayed with the Classic mail because it contains that. Please bring it back to the new email so I can just right click and do that filter. The new method of going into Settings and create a new filter and add the email and where it's going to is too cumbersome.

In Yahoo's new Mail (and I'm a Yahoo Pro Mail user who pays annually), there isn't a "Filter Mails like this" feature anymore -- directly in Inbox, when an individual mail is selected. This convenient feature is in Yahoo Classic Mail, which I love. Please add it to your new Mail version (website).
Thanks

Not only is this new email slow making it MUCH slower to move between folders and messages but I no longer see an option to create a filter based on the message I'm viewing. And out of all these forced themes, none of them offer clear visibility to see new incoming messages to my folders. I don't want alerts, I just want to see the number of new messages clearly. I also am not happy that you removed the refresh button next to inbox and clicking the inbox link lags and doesn't indicate it's being refreshed.

I agree. The 'new' version does not allow me to filter from the Inbox. I guess I will switch back to the old version until I'm forced to move to the new version. Bells and whistles are not helpful when basic services like filters are removed.

Mail Team, you are not understanding the filtering issue at all. Instead of creating filter on 1 screen with all the info needed is visible, we now have to click & click to get to the filter ability with no info visible on that screen. If you would just try it, you would understand.

Please bring back the option "Filter email like this" on the other email option as per the classic Yahoo Mail. This function was very helpful!

Right-Click on an email to add its address as a filter. Current workflow is very clumsy, cut/paste, multiple mouse-clicks.
Additionally filters do not always execute, sometimes mail is left in the Inbox and not moved to the folder specified by the filter.
Also "Tags" are a much nicer way to categorize emails, the Filters/Folders concept is a bit too rigid in comparison

Can there be a way to filter disposable addresses? There has to be a way to filter everything not on your approved sender list

Why are creating Filters buried a few layers in the settings menu, which once discovered it's not possible to easily create the filter as the email itself is in the inbox elsewhere not in view.
Why not be able to create the Filter rule by right clicking on the actual email that requires it. At least the actual incoming email information is also then easily visible to assist creating rule
