Filters
You used to be able to "filter" emails straight from the body of the email. Now there's not an option for that. Instead you have to open the settings, create a filter, going back and forth to the actual message to create the filter. Bring back the option of "filter emails like this" in the body of the email.

I would really like to be able to add a filter without having to go into the settings, choose more settings, choose filters. We used to be able to right-click on the sender's email address and make a filter easily. Now it's a right royal pain!

[A bug in the filter] if leaving the filter condition as blank accidentally, all the incoming emails will be redirected to the filter folder instead of inbox. I think Yahoo mail should not allow user to empty the condition and should give an warning.

When setting e-mail to SPAM or FILTER, should have ability to move ALL e-mails in INBOX from that sender at ONE TIME to SPAM or other FOLDER. Currently, if you say an e-mail is SPAM, it just deletes or moves that current e-mail but not all the other e-mails from that same sender. Would like option to chose if you want to do multiple messages

Improve setting to filter e-mail - should be able to SORT the filter names and also should be able to ADD FILTER when viewing the e-mail and not going to settings

Add back ability to filter e-mail when viewing the e-mail message. This feature was in classic e-mail (however it didn't work well). I see there is an option now in settings but it is very cumbersome

I have a filter directing US Post Office mail to go to my Inbox but it always goes to Trash. My idea is to fix it.

You should check the Filtering program: Even though I have set a filter directing a certain sender's email to always go to my Inbox, that sender's email invariably goes into my Trash every day without fail, no matter what I've tried

I have several filters set up from before I changed over to the new mail. The old folders are still functioning just fine, but I can't figure out how to add new senders to existing folders. For example, if I've just started getting emails from Macy's and I want to send all future Macy's emails to my "shopping" folder, how to do I make that happen? In the old mail, I would just select the message and click on the "more" option, and it would give me choices like move, mark as unread, and filter emails like this. I'm not seeing any option to filter emails like this.
Thanks!

When a new email is automatically filtered into a folder, it does not show in the unread count of the "Unread" link. Nor does it show on the new mail flag on the browser tab. I think ALL unread mail should be treated the same.

I just spent an hour going through my filters, deleting, and editing them. None of my changes saved. Not a single one. It is also incredibly frustrating that I cannot sort or search them. And, the delete icon is only located at the very top of the list (instead inside each filter entry) so I need to constantly scroll up and down, up and down, up and down, in order to delete something. Incredibly poor design.

I agree I filter my emails for faster work. It seems like you are trying to slow us down to give ads more time in our faces!

exactly this. please put it back on the top 'triple dot menu', not only is it super hard to then go from email to settings then paste the email in a new filter system instead of just adding it to an existing system like before.....man. that is the worst UX for filters, if anything keep both, if getting rid of the new one is too hard.

I have set multiple filters to send mail to Spam. However, when I checked again, they have all been reset to send to Inbox. You have a flawed system. FIX IT!

When selecting an email or when the email is open, have the option to to FILTER right there instead of copying the email, going to Settings & navigate to the Filter section. ANOTHER improvement is to be able to SEARCH in Filters or at least be able to sort Filter by given name or other options. This prevents duplicate filtering ... thank you.
