Spam Folder
The number of messages in the spam folder needs to show like it did in the old email and it does in the inbox. I don't like having to check the spam folder all the time to see if there are messages.

I have just found out that I have missed e-mails from numerous people responding to adverts of items I was selling - all the e-mails were my spam folder but there was nothing to indicate there were any e-mails there. Now it is too late and I have missed out on sales.

Having to hover is not a good alternative. I want to know that I have spam, otherwise I forget to check it, and then it takes a long time to verify that there's nothing I want in there.
Please bring back the number!

Please make the SPAM filter configurable. Sometimes I want it enabled and sometimes I want it disabled. My desktop mail client is not picking up mail that's sent to the SPAM folder and I want to get everything so I don't miss anything. Now, there's not an option to turn it on or off - It just is, and sometimes it filters out valid email sources.
Please do this as soon as possible!
Thank you.

Why do the folders no longer indicate the number of E-mails contained within? As I scroll through the ideas list, I see a lot of people asking that the number of E-mails in each folder be restored. I relied on this information continuously and would like to know why this information was eliminated with the new enhancement?

They have just upgraded me to the new format and really annoyed there's no number of messages on spam folder anymore. It's also annoying it's hidden behind the more button. I often get important emails caught in spam so this needs sorting.

I just realized for the first time since the switch that my spam folder had tons of stuff in it, some of which were legit, and didn't realize it because the spam link no longer shows the count like I had been condition to looking for after all these years of using yahoo mail. What a dumb decision!

Ditto all those comments. It is seeing the (##) next to the folder name "Spam" that reminds me to check the folder. ! usually delete 95% of them, but I sometimes find something I actually want to read. I hate scrolling through several days' worth of them. Plus I seem to get more spam with the new version. I haven't noticed any real benefits, so I will probably go back to the "classic" if I'm allowed to do so. Because despite all these comments, Yahoo has not made the change the everyone wants,

I had no idea that there was anything in my SPAM folder since the latest version does not show the number of messages in the box let alone that there is anything new (e.g., indicated by BOLD). I had over 90 messages in the SPAM box before I realized there was anything there - and I only discovered it because I had used an old Ubuntu box with an old (unsupported) version of Firefox that forced the use of the old interface. The old version clearly indicated that there was a huge number of messages in the SPAM box. Please fix this. If not the message count at least an indication that there is something new that has been put in the box.

Please bring back the spam folder showing the number of e-mails currently in the folder. I used to check my spam religiously in order to find any mis-sorted e-mail, but now I regularly forget to check it because there's no reminder and no way to distinguish it from the other folders that also have no e-mail count.

Put the number of messages in the spam folder on the label in the inbox.
Just the same way as the Inbox label shows the number of new messages.

Yes, the number of spam messages must be displayed, so that if the number gets too large, I can open the spam folder to look for non-spam messages to be moved to inbox.

If you look, there are a number of similar comments, even though the ranking is low. I suspect more people mind not having a reminder (by "new email" count number by the folder) that the spam folder is collecting emails. I suggest the ranking of this comment should be much higher than it is. We had this account before the merger; taking it away was not the smartest idea. What did we get in return for its removal. Suggest Yahoo rethink the removal of the count for spam emails. This is a major inconvenience. We respond to the folders by unconsciously glancing at that number - missing, in this case!

The classic format shows the number of emails without having to highlight. The New Email does appear to have this feature. I find trash and spam folders filling unnecessarily until I remember to check them. Trash and spam are regularly scanned and deleted with the classic format. A change may be in order for the New Email to be viable.

Especially Spam folder since something important may be moved into it by unintelligent algorithm.

Please bring back automatic view of the trash and spam folders. Previously I could see the number of items in these two bins and easily delete them. Please bring this function back.

Tried the new mail once before & switched back. The new mail is clearly still slower than the old version. Plus, I miss the unread delete & spam notification. It always reminded me to cleanup.

Would be handy to see a number or symbol beside Spam Mail folder to remind us to check/delete Spam mail.
