How can we improve New Mail?

Very slow - it takes few seconds to react if i select any option in the mail.

I have been using yahoo mail for around 15 years, for last few years I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
its dam slow, but when I see gmail it is really good to work with emails.
I don't want to switch to gmail, because the only hope I have is that yahoo mail will be improved(performance) in future.
the basic and the mandate service we look at the mail is for the faster emailing. if it doesn't fulfill then it is no use of adding additional feature.

    I am in the same boat. I've been using Yahoo for the past decade and have never had a problem until now. The "New" Yahoo is like a step back in time. It's visually appealing, but is taking waaaaaay to long to load anything. From clicking buttons to typing, there is a lag when using the new Yahoo mail. I am a freelance creative artist and I rely on this email to work quickly and efficiently so that I can respond to my clients in a timely matter. Please aim at fixing this, you have a lot of us counting on you.

    I have had my yahoo mail account for 20 years and this is pitiful. it takes forever to load, change folders, and even type, 1/2 the time the cursor is not even on the screen. I am very disappointed. what is going on??

    20 years user, and I am drifting away now. I travel a lot and sometimes it is impossible to write any message at all, when wifi is not the best. Also I use tiny light netbook, with this amounts of ads the messages are almost invisible. Too many fireworks in general.

    Mail is very slow and sometimes unresponsive. Sing on is Ok, however, it takes many effort to opening, deleting and to compose mails. Have changed my internet provider, but mail is still slow. I appreciate Yahoo trying to get feedbacks on their new service platform, and hope very soon things will sort out soon

    Not only is it slow loading, but it takes hours and sometimes days to receive emails from people. Just about ready to give up and go to gmail. Ugh!

    i have never seen so many adds. I cant stand the slow process and now Im asked to up grade and then pay monthly.
