Very slow - it takes few seconds to react if i select any option in the mail.
I have been using yahoo mail for around 15 years, for last few years I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
its dam slow, but when I see gmail it is really good to work with emails.
I don't want to switch to gmail, because the only hope I have is that yahoo mail will be improved(performance) in future.
the basic and the mandate service we look at the mail is for the faster emailing. if it doesn't fulfill then it is no use of adding additional feature.

Experiencing slowness here! I am working on clearing out my old emails so I'm just taking a glance at all of them again... sometimes the page just stalls, nothing moves, I can't just go back to the inbox and I have to refresh the page once or twice. This does not make the task any easier, and sometimes I'm not sure if I accidentally did something.

I share the same opinion and situation. I've had Yahoo nearly since it first started. Just getting slower, not faster.

it's the sloweste email service i have ever experienced. it is not worthy a reputable company like Yahoo to offer this kind of service. Please improve or I will have to make the move to somewhere else!

Agree with OP, very slow at times. I believe this is an issue with the Ad refreshing. Today I was trying to use the e-mail and each time it refreshed I had to click on the e-mail window again to continue typing. And each time I clicked on the window to start typing it started a new refresh cycle - I was watching the bottom loading bar, so it wasn't my imagination. This happened so frequently that I couldn't type more than five words at a time. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does all I can do is close Yahoo for a few hours because it's too frustrating to use.

1. This is my exact complaint, verbatim:
I have been using yahoo mail for around [18] years, for last few years I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
I don't want to switch to gmail, because the only hope I have is that yahoo mail will be improved(performance) in future.
the basic and the mandate service we look at the mail is for the faster emailing. if it doesn't fulfill then it is no use of adding additional feature.
2. Cannot display emails by clicking on them - Have to double-click. While opening the new tab, THEN I see the email display in the pane. WTH?
3. I didn't think that getting to my "disposable emails" could take more clicks than previous version. 6-8 clicks now, plus 2 more to update. Why is it buried in settings, more settings, load more, edit...seriously?
4. Why does the snippet have to be bold too? same size font? Offer an option to separate it from the sender so it's readable. -

If you can adjust for more speed that will be better.

I have been using yahoo ever since I started with computer but its processing is slow and I need to wait for several seconds before it opens. Right now I got a problem with opening my lesson sent thru my yahoo email. I enrolled a free online course on excel but when I tried to access my first lesson, I can't open it. Please help me so that I can cope up with the lesson. Thank you and God bless.

Sometimes it takes a few seconds to open mail. It also takes time to download attachments.
