How can we improve New Mail?

Very slow - it takes few seconds to react if i select any option in the mail.

I have been using yahoo mail for around 15 years, for last few years I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
its dam slow, but when I see gmail it is really good to work with emails.
I don't want to switch to gmail, because the only hope I have is that yahoo mail will be improved(performance) in future.
the basic and the mandate service we look at the mail is for the faster emailing. if it doesn't fulfill then it is no use of adding additional feature.

    Your system is getting slower and slower. I click on either inbox or send box and is just keeps spinning. It is a joke.

    Why has this service become extremely slow the past couple days? Emails won't load, adding attachments is impossible, just receive the spinwheel of death and then it times out.
    VERY FRUSTRATING!!

    Yahoo mail has become very slow for me, too.
    Other issues:
    Document preview does not work well. Some documents don't load at all. Some can't be downloaded. Some can't be printed. Very disruptive.
    The contacts list still uses the old format. Very disruptive moving back and forth.
    Frankly, the Apple Mail gateway to my Yahoo account works much better.

    I'll just add my voice to the "slow, slow, slow" feedback. I too have had a Yahoo account for years and like someone else - Gmail is looking better every day.

    Extremely slow to open any yahoo email. If this doesn't change, I will opt to cancel and use my gmail only.

    Yahoo service today is appalling. I thought it was BT, my internet supplier, or the router, but I've discovered that the Yahoo outage covers the whole of the UK and parts of the US. This just isn't good enough.

    I too have been with Yahoo for many years and do not want to close my account because 1000s of emails contain important information that I don't want to lose.

    Get your act together, Yahoo! and make your service good again.

    I spend a lot of time waiting for the inbox, the send etc. to open.
    I think Yahoo.com is a disaster. Everything is very slow.

    The last few days have been so frustrating! Yahoo mail takes forever to open. If I get in, try to open mail, it takes forever. What's going on? If this continues, I will start using gmail.

    I agree so slow today it is driving me nuts. I start an email and cannot send it. Such an unproductive day. what is going on???? are they going to fix this?

    I know, what is going on, do they really want us to leave Yahoo. There must be an easier way of doing business than this, What year are we in? Sorry but my computer is at war with me at the moment and this is the final straw.

    Don't know what is going on Feb 5 & 6, but Yahoo is VERY SLOW!!!!!!! Takes forever to see mail and sometimes can't open at all or delete at all.

    agreed, it's gone very slow of late and sometimes returns with a message that the operation - reading the email - is not possible at this time, try later. But trying later it's still slow!

    haven't had any issues until yesterday. 24hrs later I'm still unable to view or send emails. restarted my cpu and everything. all other webpages are funtioning. plz help yahoo
