How can we improve New Mail?

Very slow - it takes few seconds to react if i select any option in the mail.

I have been using yahoo mail for around 15 years, for last few years I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
its dam slow, but when I see gmail it is really good to work with emails.
I don't want to switch to gmail, because the only hope I have is that yahoo mail will be improved(performance) in future.
the basic and the mandate service we look at the mail is for the faster emailing. if it doesn't fulfill then it is no use of adding additional feature.

    I agree with above it takes too long to get into e-mail or get e-mail to react to anything like send. Also why did I get a notice to have all e-mails involving the Democratic party to go into my spam folder? Is Russia involved already.

    it is very true. The performance doesn't exist and i have to wait a lot to open a mail or to see the mails sent.

    Agreed! The new format may be "prettier" but it is greatly affecting performance! Way too slow to load emails, perform basic actions like delete, etc. I want the old performance back. Not that it was great, but it was better than this turtle of a system!

    My yahoo mail is ridiculously slow. If I can even retrieve my messages at all would be a miracle. This problem seems to be shared by many for quite a while with no resolution to the issue. Why is this problem not being remedied?

    Agree 100% with this user! I hate to change platforms, but am really being forced to do so since Yahoo can't seem to make any valuable changes! Performance is the worst it's ever been, and I pay for Yahoo Mail Pro! I wait minutes for emails to load. Unacceptable!

    I don't know this for sure but this is my observation - if you use yahoo mail app on your phone, it loads up much faster than using the standard Apple mail app. I think yahoo is trying to encourage people using their mail app for whatever reasons.
    I just noticed that even on chrome browser (on windows 10 pc), the mail loading is taking very long compare to gmail.
    I'd hate to leave yahoo mail because I've been using it for 20+ years, but with poor performance like this there will be time I will just cut my losses and move on.
    Very frustrated to say the least...

    Extremely slow, particularly when it complains there isn't an internet connection (there is).
    It's also extremely slow when searching Contacts.

    For the last 2 hours all of my emails are slow to open and I cannot download or, in some cases, even view the attachments. I have also restarted my browser and turned off ad blocker and this is has not helped resolve this issue.

    Yes, it's several minutes on my phone and on my computer - it's not my device - it's the email. My waite is 1-2 minutes per action and give a "Retry" option....when I refresh the page, that occasionally works, but wayyy to slow. Maybe the commercials/banners are loading down the system? I hate to change platforms, as I have stuck with ymail/yahoo for many, years also but this is not working.
