Ad overload. I don't mind ads, but your interface takes it to new extremes, especially when I try check a folder with no messages in it.

Install an Ad Blocker. This was the only solution I have found after having this same problem

Hi... You should think about that a world build on advertising is a sad and disgusting world that is not viable. So please, don't ask to remove advertising blockers. Thank you :)

Yahoo has always had far more ads than any other site I go to. It makes Yahoo Mail slow - heck, Yahoo in general is slow. In desperation, I got an ad blocker.

Guys, it's gotten so bad that we've stopped using Yahoo mail. The ads are overwhelming, you've co-opted 40% of our screens (on a 14" laptop, that's huge) and the option of $3.49 a month is ludicrous.
C'ya.

When your ads start taking up a full CPU resource to run, you have too many ads.

My new ad blocker on the Brave browser doing a good job. Knocks out all your ads so I don't think I will change any settings...

Use ad-blocker and don't white list it. They need to learn we don't want to be swamped by adverts especially the scrounging ones for charities.

I don't mind a few ads but I had to install an Ad blocker since I couldn't trust leaving my email logged in because of the webpage redirecting FAKE browser update "ads" that would randomly take over my inbox and refuse to allow me to click "back" forcing me to close the browser tab and relogin to check my mail. I also used to get loud video with audio ads that were quite bothersome when they played even when the tab wasn't in focus disrupting anything else I may have been listening to.
