Ad overload. I don't mind ads, but your interface takes it to new extremes, especially when I try check a folder with no messages in it.

Get Webmail Ad Blocker WAB to get rid of the ads on the right-side of the screen. It clears that area and it lets Mail use the whole screen.
It's available for Firefox and Chrome and it's free. It also works in GMail.
I bet Yahoo deletes this post!

I already PAY for an expanded e-mail box... and have for nearly 20 years. It was $20 per year for long time then $40 last year. Now you add ADS all over the place. Greed much?

Ads on the internet are a given, at least for free sites. But this is ridiculous. The ads on Yahoo are extremely intrusive. Even when I ask them not to show me certain types of ads, they do it anyway. I've tried over and over to set add preferences that won't be offensive - but it never works. Yahoo keeps showing me ads that are intrusive, offensive, and down right annoying. I have young children in the house so I do NOT appreciate having certain ads pop up all the time - even when not a single search in any browser has had anything at all to do with the advertised product. Even when I use add blocker software, or try to turn the videos off, or even shrink my page to hide the ads; Yahoo forces them on me. I've had it. I'm switching to gmail. It is free and there aren't any ads at all anywhere around my inbox. I suggest everyone else do the same. Then maybe Yahoo will finally get a clue.

I don't like that there are adds that look like an email. I accidentally clicked on an add as I cleaning out my emails and it's irritating. I tolerate the adds that are on around my email page. Isn't it enough that they are surrounding my email page? Stop making them look like an email.

The ad banner is too close to the top of the email list and I unfortunately unintentionally click on it a number of times - please add space or a clear dividing line between the stupid ad banner and the first email!

ive used yahoo mail for many years and also have gmail accounts. this is an EMAIL account. the most serious of internet communications but yet Yahoo continue to find new ways to sneak advertising into my account. I DO NOT want to see ads and freaking videos in empty folders or anywhere else. Do you really think that I want to look at more **** youtube type content whilst i am trying to conduct my affairs? I will begin moving my primary email accounts away from Yahoo because of your persistence in advertising inside my mail windows and folders. Ive had enough

It is bad enough to get innundated continually, but now you are inserting ads into emails I have signed up for? This kind of **** is exactly why I am transitioning to another email provider. That and new mail is horrible.
