I'll be switching to gmail. Been meaning to for a while now just didn't want to go through the hassle of updating all my subscriptions. But yahoo has sucked for a long time and this force switch to the updated version and attempted forced advertising is the last straw.

Hard to read. Complicated, not necessary, Way too cute, The code is buggy and white listing is ridiculous. Give up on this. Who owns Yahoo these days. Long live Melissa Meyer. Go Stanford.

I agree with the previous comments. The ads are annoying and unnecessary, and pop-ups should never happen in email!

Put BACK the BLOCK option for emails. I blocked a lot of spam with that and now I have more than ever with the new format

Change it back....and leave it alone....classic works....don't fix what's not broken!

I can't find the buttons to add someone to my contact list....they used to be above "compose" What was wrong with the classic version?

There are three main things I dislike about the new email:
1) More ads
Why TF are we being forced to see ads INTERMIXED with our email? This is ridiculous. We already are being forced to see ads on the right sidebar, at the the top of our email list, and now also intermixed with our email? Unbelievably lame, stupid, and irritating. BTW, it also slows down performance. I've used yahoo mail for 20 years but I'm close to switching away. I'm disgusted with the constant bombardment of ads in my email.2) Performance
Everything about the new format is slow. Applying "Mark as Read", clicking on boxes, creating subfolders... it's all slow. Painfully slow.3) Firefox crashes
Your new email causes such memory and cpu hog that eventually firefox crashes and I have to restart my browser. What a great new feature! -

Ads, ads, ads. I'm using an "unsupported browser" i.e., Yahoo mail malfunctions, and every single day I get asked to BUY Yahoo Pro to stop the annoying ads. You have got to be kidding me. PAY to stop the ads when the service is already malfunctioning in my "unsupported" browser. Wake up Yahoo.

Hello,
I use free Yahoo e-mail since 20 years, and since last autumn Yahoo started to show to the right side an advertisements which are short videos clips, which 1.include sound and 2.generate significant traffic. The 1. is already really disturbing and 2. is problematic when I use Yahoo via mobile internet :-(
This made me to install AdBloker and to remove the problems that Yahoo ads created. And that worked well, until a few weeks, when Yahoo e-mail started to popup message that the ads are blocked and it strongly recommend me to whitelist the Yahoo mail :-(Well, It will be very nice and polite to add to that popup message a check box, which to say: "I understand that, and please do not show that message again".
Independent whether you will add that "check box" or not, I guarantee you that I will not whitelist Yahoo mail and I will not uninstall the adblocker!
All best wishes!

If i send or reply to an email I cannot work out a simple way of adding them to my address book. Spent ages trying - and I am not an idot.

After I mark an email as spam and I continue to get the same email. Why doesn't it block it for future emails???

Just. Stop. The stupid pop-up about whitelisting mail for ads. It is arguably more hateful than ads themselves (which I guess might be your strategy, but changing mail providers is more attractive than either)

if I wanted to whitelist yahoo I would.. I keep xing out of it because I'm not given an option otherwise. so stop asking

this is annoying and should not be in my email. If I want to see an ad it usually runs on the rt side of emails....which by the way is too large and messes up the mail area

Why should I whitelist your sight so I can be bogged down to the point of unusability with ad content. Do you idiots think I'm insane? I will NEVER whitelist your site, nor am I going to pay for a basic email service.
