Help with my account
For the last two days I’m receiving dozens of nonsense emails. How can this be stopped? Thx
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
You can always create filters: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html

Filter out emails from obviously fake addresses - containing too many sporadic alpha-numeric characters.

The spam filter doesn't work well. It is allowing spam mails to come through and blocking legit emails in the spam folder. Even after marking them as not spam they are ending up in the spam folder. This had happened several times and I have been writing emails about it everytime. I just lost a internship because of this and I really mad about it. Just because of this BS filter I lost it. i worked really hard for the letter to apply for this and all that for nothing. Now I have to wait for some time to apply for it again. Please Please improve the spam filter as soon as possible. I bet there are many people who are facing such issues.

Yahoo need to get their act together and help yahoo users. I use the spam block in yahoo so that should sort it as other mail companies do

The spam filter isn't working well. It is marking few of my mails from the same user as spam while few are being redirected to my inbox. Many of my OTP mails are also being redirected to spam which is ok because they look like that but other normal emails are also ending up in the spam folder. Please improve that filter and also notice user that he has some emails in the spam folder once in a while. I had a job related email which ended in spam folder, luckily i check spam emails everyday as I go through my emails.

The blocked senders is WONDERFUL - however - you can only block 999. I know that sounds like ALOT - but mine is full. Spam has taken over my email since I can't add any more.
Since you provide 1TB of storage - couldn't you use a few GB and increase the block senders function ? It is AWESOME but once it is full - GAME OVER - TONS of **** mail.

Spam emails are sent in bulk hiding the recipients inside the listing or emails in the bcc line with only the primary or intended recipient is listed in the to line. While others Mail servers have enabled their clients to block the bcc line which stops all unwanted emails and spam. It forces the owner of the email address to inform all his contacts that they will need to be sure that to put the email address in the to line or the email will then not arrive. Yahoo does not have this type of service and so now I am currently up to an average of 80 spam and unwanted emails everyday including Sunday. These people do not take a day off or a break so they keep at it and people like me just gotta suffer until yahoo can put something together to catch up to the competition. I will be at 250 then 300 spam and unwanted emails per day if you people don't start moving off you *** and keep our interest first and foremost front everyday if no solution real soon. I had addressed the spam issue before with you and it's only gotten worse and HOW DO I DELETE BLOCKED ADDRESSES WITHOUT ALLOWING THAT ADDRESS TO REGAIN ACCESS INTO MY EMAIL ACCOUNT BECAUSE I NEEDED TO MAKE TOOM HFOR NEW EMAIL ADDRESSES. THIS IS A REVOLVING CIRCLE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE WHEN I FIRST ADDRESSED IT WITH YOUR CREW AND/OR STAFF.

Spammers are becoming clever and use dynamically generated email address they send from. There are however invariants in the addresses they use. We should be able to block a sender based on a string contained in the sender's email, I cannot today. For example: in this address used by the spammer "newsletterliibk6nnzwyx@liibk6nnzwyxpatricianhighschool.ie" there are 2 invariants I could use to block this sender: "newsletter" and "patricianhighschool". I should be able to block senders having these strings in their email address (impossible today). Just an example.

There doesn't seem to be any effort by Yahoo to block SPAM at the server side. I'm getting too many SPAM emails.

Users should be allowed to add a role to blacklist/block emails based on specific words and not necessarily the email ID as scamsters find ways to create new emails with similar messages
For eg: Newletters, anything with "Newsletter" in the subject users should be able to block it, rather than multiple email IDs

I get 1-2 msgs a day from an outfit "US Bank." I flag as spam, block sender, unsubscribe, etc. and nothing seems to help. And I'm just using US Bank as an example.

When an email comes into my inbox and I want to send it to the spam file, Yahoo will only give me two options: (do I want to unsubscribe and delete?). This makes no sense and is dangerous. Are you saying that I can no longer put emails when I consider to be spam into my spam file just because they made it into my inbox. And just what are you doing in order to unsubscribe. You could be clicking on a malicious code in my computer or your system. Think about this and get back to me. It makes no sense. Just because something says unsubscribe in some dangerous band does not mean that link will unsubscribe anything. It could be just a malicious code. Why do not know this?

I've been getting spam purportedly from yahoo mail.
You should post warnings and post an email address that these spam messages can be forwarded to you for investigation and publicizing. -

Your ability to filter and dispose of spam emails has become non-existent compared to other email programs. I have had my yahoo email since you began and although I have such nostalgia for it, I find it is the worst experience because I get sooooo much spam. Working on an iPhone, the only way to block these spam emails is to actually open and read the email to click on the sender and block them. We should be able to block without opening so the sender will see that it was not opened. Otherwise the nefarious sender gets confirmation that it is a good email address because I have opened it in order to block it. They then get the chance to add it to other lists and spam campaigns because of this confirmation. This is a HUGE FAIL. This is a big reason why I now use “other” email addresses rather than yahoo. It has become a cesspool for spamming emails now.
Be better than the spammers….. -

Allow users to set up a filter that will automatically send to Spam those emails that have no content.

Email is full of span. Even after unsubscribing continuously, I get a huge amount of spam emails from **** sites. I don't know where my email is registered or this is coming from the end of yahoo.
