Yahoo mail is so slow
Yahoo mail is so so so slow on my computer. I've been using my college email address instead (gmail) because it works so much better. However, now that I am about to graduate I have been using my yahoo email more - but it's just so frustrating how glitchy and slow it is. I really do not want to have to get an entire new email address (I would definitely use gmail if I made a new one) but if this isn't fixed soon I'm not going to have a choice.

Please try clearing cookies, cache, history, and footprints. To do so, please go to https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/sln27197.html
Also, please make sure to update your browser and if the problem still persists try to access Yahoo Mail in another browser.

I discovered that this is reproduced easily by downloading a file from an email
I implemented a script that prevents the webpage from reloading (It forces the "You are about to leave the page" popup to display whenever the page is going to reload or close, allowing me to cancel occurrence), and noticed that whenever I download a file that popup appears. I must tell the browser that it is okay to "leave the page" for the file to download.
That's not the issue, however. Not long after the file is downloaded another popup appears asking if I want to leave the page, and clicking yes closes the tab. If the popup did not appear the tab would close automatically.
The closure of the tab is very much unprovoked, and I'm attempting to nail down what script is closing the tab

I have no problems with speed but having extreme difficulty signing. Some say Yahoo has built in several issues in signing so people have to subscribe to paid support.

This just started today (5/12/21).
I can be doing something in a different program or typing an email and the tab will just close by itself. I can Ctrl-Shift-T the tab back open and continue where I left off.
No idea why its doing that. About:Crashes doesn't turn up any results either.
Its ONLY the Yahoo Mail tab as well. Very odd. Any ideas?

This is not an idea,,, This is a request to fix a problem between you and Apple.
Maybe you should have a better feedback mechanism.Using Safari on mac is broken. Inline images won't show.

I am unable to send multiple files or documents in a single email. Why do I and my recipient have to download Google Classroom/Dropbox to send/receive those documents needed. Even after all the trouble downloading those apps, I am still unable to send the needed documents to my recipient.
Which MORON'S idea to make life this miserable for us users? All this while we have NO issues sending multiple documents. Why do you complicate things? You think we have the time for all this ****? We chose YOU over other mails. Change it back to the old ways where we can easily send multiple documents. -

Glad to learn I am not alone but this has become very tiresome. Open a few emails then it slows down and eventually gives me the "you are offline" message. The only "hack" I have found is to switch to another browser when I get that then switch back when that one locks up.

I have changed my settings to download images except for spam, but no images ever download. If I can't download images, I have to get rid of my yahoo account. How do I fix this? Nothing I do seems to work? ***

SEARCH does not load any results at all. this is an important feature and i see many old complaints. is nobody working to FIX this or what? now i cant post comment because it somehow automatically signed me out? i am signed in, but it canceled that. also it opens a new window every time instead of changing pages. 4 yahoo mail pages open and still cant perform? bummer

No images in emails, for at least a couple of weeks. At first I thought it was just a fluke I could wait out, but it's really become an issue. I've tried all the usual things like clearing the cache, etc.
In some emails, if you can't see the images you don't know where to click or why. I end up clicking all over the whole thing looking blindly for the coupon or whatever.
Mac/ Safari, latest versions my computer can use.

At least once a day when I open an email, the command bar with 'move', 'delete', etc disappears, the right hand 3 inches of the email page and the bottom 1.5 inches disappears. The only way I can return to normal operation is to go to the Yahoo Home Page and re-enter my email. I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser and am confident it is up to date. In fact, it seems that the programmers enjoy tinkering and it updates on startup about once every 7-10 days. This is a minor annoyance but it would be appreciated if it could be resolved.
