New contact management format - not goodl!
As of 18 July 2019, you changed the way in which users can administer contact details. The new contact management is confusing and the layout does not give a good overview over contacts. Please return to the old format!

This is the worst! I have used contacts for decades as a central place for emails and addresses. Too many clicks to view the street address or additional emails. The circle with photo/initial is nonsensical, at least make that an option that users can deselect. I would prefer that you revert to the prior version when contacts appeared in a list at left and clicking on a contact took you to a whole page view of the contact listing. I am appearing to have syncing issues also now.

The new contact format makes any task three times slower. The contacts are not in alphabetical order. Adding, deleting, sorting, none of these things are "intuitive." What's worse.... the system edits, deletes, moves, and makes changes ALL BY ITSELF. I've got a page full of notes to myself for when I email anyone because this new contact system is basically unusable.

Cannot edit within a specific contact! Wake up, Yahoo! People change email addies anmd addresses. Shoddy project management.

Agree with you Joachim! This is much more inconvenient.

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone else in this comment thread.

Could this be why there are so many "autofill contacts not working" comments. Marking them reviewed does not seem to help and keeps the rest of us from saying "me too." Me too. Fix it!
UPDATE: Mine is NOT a Yahoo Issue. Happens only on this Windows10 desktop machine using Chrome; Firefox lets Yahoo work. Also works on a Win 10 laptop with Chrome and a Chromebook.

I can no longer access full options in writing email settings to autofill email addresses from contacts list. Much more cumbersome now and fewer options. Don't like it.

Thought of one other missing feature -- Being able to sort the contact list by LAST NAME. The default by first name is terrible

TOTALLY AGREE. Also, several features of the old format are missing or do not work as suggested by some of Yahoo's help articles. 1--cannot print emails, 2--exporting to CSV leaves out several fields such as the LIST/CATEGORY name, 3--pressing the TO, CC, or BCC link displays an EMPTY address book, 4--you cannot see, add, remove, or change the LIST/CATEGORY an entry belong to, 5--no way to import entries from a CSV file.

Guys, it seems you don't know how people can use their contact lists.
First, where is the Lists column in the exported contacts table? Or did you possibly add a filter for "Export CSV"?
Then why did you decide to merge First name, Middle name and Last name? Don't you know that separate columns are for personalization?OMG, you did a bad job then. So pitty, no hope.

Yes, there has been data loss. In some cases, all e-mail addresses and phone numbers have disappeared, only the name is left.

Another problem: Yahoo changed lowercase letters to uppercase letters: Family names like "von Mueller" have suddenly been changed into "Von Mueller". I fear there have been other changes, involving data loss.

Also, I noted that only part of the information is displayed - e.g., only one website even if several websites have been entered for one contact. And I do no longer get a simple alphabetical list, I have to look by intitials.
