Spam is not filtered or blocked
You need to let us filter these @myip.com @emailverfy.com into the trash! Your filters don't do that and at best only put them in the Spam folder. You should also let us BLOCK messages from a specific site, not just the user name. I would like to block all these @myip.com emails but you don't let us do that. If you can't get this fixed soon, I'm going to use gmail for my real email and just let this yahoo account be for junk.

I have a domain blocked in one of the 3 allowed in basic:
us-west-2.amazonses.com
This domain is a notorious spammer. I have it blocked along with all sorts of keywords they use. I should not see any emails from them in regular inbox, nor in spam. Yet, this last weekend I was flooded with emails from them.
Please give ONE GOOD REASON TO UPGRADE to your paid service if you CANNOT even block one stupid known spammer.
Can you get one of your engineers to work on this? -

I get a lot of spam from a couple of domains. I keep flagging them as spam, but that seems to make no difference. I've started adding the domains to my blocked domain list, but spam from those domains keeps showing up. MAKE DOMAIN BLOCKING WORK!! Or delete the option because it seems to be worthless.

The comment below is unacceptable as you have to insert one email address at a time i.e. copy and paste. This is a waste of time and effort when you get 20 - 30 Spam emails a day. The amount of Spam emails is growing on a daily basis which need to be addressed as a priority:
"To block a specific address, go to Settings-More Settings-Security and privacy."

This issue has been going on for some time now. Not sure why the feature is now not available. It used to work fairly well in the past but over the past few months, this feature doesn't appear when the three dotts (...) is depressed. Also, when it does appear which is seldom, the Spam emails are deleted but I am unable to block senders..... WHY?

Blocking individual addresses does little to stop the plethora of SPAM these days. If we can add a block by domain name feature, this would help cut down on repeat spammer domains.
Easy, . . reinstate the blocking function. How hard can it be? You ask how you can improve New Mail, . . . you have your answer !
Have an option in settings to block a sender. It's supposed to be there but it's not.

WHY NOT JUST RETURN THE BLOCK SPAM SENDERS BUTTON TO WHAT IT WAS BEFORE SOME USELESS **** WAS TOLD TO JUSTIFY THEIR JOB POSITION

The number of requests for blocking spammer domains (as we used to be able to) seems to be growing with the same corporate "no" response being issued. (this is sometimes addressed as "use the spam filter for the email") You either don't treat this as a serious threat, or cant be bothered. Which is it?

There is no way to block a domain for sending me emails. Please add this feature.

You need to make it easier to do the Domain block. Maybe right click on the senders address and choose block, or domain block. Dont ask me to type the domain, please.

Yahoo has removed the ability to block entire domain (previously done via setting by adding *@domain to your blocked list).
By doing such, Yahoo is allowing spammers to better target Yahoo users = more email traffic (even if its spams) = better numbers on papers to show Yahoo's shareholders. To add to our frustration, as soon as a post like this one is noticed by Yahoo, it is closed to prevent more comments showing users frustration. It is simply reviewed by adding the word "Gathering".
Why would Yahoo need to gather info on a working function it purposely removed?
Reasons:
- Seeing the potential of adding this to the pro-version and increase revenue.
- Potential deal with spammers.
- Seeing if that trick to increase traffic (even if spam) to trick shareholders will bring too many problems with users which in the end will be noticed by shareholders.Yahoo, could you please not close this thread until it has been solved. By this I mean either:
1- Function is working again on the free version
or
2- An honest explanation is givenCould you please also allow users to block full email addresses longer than a specific number of characters? Many of us do not mind blocking all addresses longer than 70 characters for example.
Regards,

Blocking individual email addresses is fine, but when you receive spam messages from domains that just constantly change, the blocking settings in Yahoo Mail need to be more flexible

I agree that blocking an email address should be way easier and it would be less of an anxiety issue if it weren't buried in the settings. It should be added to the more options and should be an action button clearly visible.
Currently your email address block option/function has a cap which is unacceptable. THEN the user must delete/clear these addresses one by one in order to block additional senders? It begs one to ponder who's side you are on and why you wouldn't implement more tools to keep a members inbox spam and clutter free, allowing a more progressive and tranquil-esque experience. Thats like waiting for a check in the mail and your mailbox is overflowing with Mexican Insurance Company solicitations. What do you do when you get those? You toss them to the side faster than a Kardashian marriage. People want two things primarily with email boxes. The ability to customize these things freely and the ability to make unwanted emails disappear. At what point did we lose direction and deviate from that course?

Yes it is not rocket science... unfortunately Yahoo has been losing brain cells over the last years.

With all the spam and scam emails going around. A feature to block a domain name as these scammers change their address and IP. Such sites include ************.com and ****************s.com.

LET US BLOCK DOMAINS! BLOCKING INDIVIDUAL IS A WASTE OF TIME AND SPACE. THIS WAS AVAILABLE IN THE OLD FORMAT SO I AM SURE YOUR ENGINEERS CAN FIGURE THIS OUT....IF NOT HIRE CAPABLE ENGINEERS THAT CAN!

LET US BLOCK THE DOMAIN!!!!!! FIND ENGINEERS THAT CAN ALLOW US TO DO THIS LIKE IN OLD MAIL VERSION...

Please go back to allowing only domains to the email blocking field. Many spammers change only the part of the email address before the "@" symbol. This ability seems to have been removed during the "upgrade."

as yahoo is supposed to be a leader in this industry i find it fascinating that yahoo will not let us block domains. if your engineers can not figure a way to help us "HIRE SOME THAT CAN"! its rally frustrating that this can't be figured out...
