Email Alias For Login Only
I would like to see users provided with an email alias for account login in only (i.e. a login that is only known to the user and not given out and cannot be used to receive emails) as an additional security feature, so that it would be impossible for hackers to try to attempt to login with the primary email address (e.g. from stolen email lists sold on the dark web). This is something that is possible with Outlook email.
I am aware that someone has been trying to login to my email accounts - I have sent up two factor authentication, but it still bothers me that someone is in possession of my primary email address and is constantly trying to login to my account. An email alias for logging in only would be helpful to send hackers the message that they don't stand a chance logging in, so that they would move on. [For my Outlook account when the primary email address is used to try and sign in when I have set the alias email for account sign in only) you get the message that the primary email address 'no longer exists' (which is not true of course.)]
