How can we improve New Mail?

option to remove search history and top contacts

I would really like an option to remove search history and top contacts from the search bar. I can remove the search history through some horrible one by one process, but when I reload the page they simply are there again. The top contacts can't be removed or edited at all. I think this is a privacy. Please let me permanently remove these entries.

    Is there an update to allow the removal/deletion of search history as was requested in January 2024 on this thread? Very much a privacy issue for me.

    To emphasize the privacy issue, there are times that I am side-by-side with others and composing an email. The default should not be that everybody knows with whom I am communicating. Right now its even worse than that. It is not just the default; it is the only option!
