Hi everyone,

I’d like to suggest restoring a feature that used to be available in the Yahoo Mail mobile app: the number of unread emails shown next to each folder name in the folder list.

For anyone who uses many folders (with filters sorting incoming mail automatically), this count is essential. It lets you see at a glance which folders have new messages and decide where to look first, without opening each folder one by one.

The “Unread” view doesn’t replace it. It mixes all unread messages together and loses the folder context, which is exactly what filters and folders are meant to provide. With dozens of folders, it quickly becomes hard to manage.

The desktop version still shows these counts, so it would be great to have the same consistency on mobile. Ideally it could be an option in the settings, so users who prefer a cleaner look can keep it off.

Please consider bringing this feature back. I’m sure many users who rely on folders would appreciate it.

Thanks!
