Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

The right-side panel for starred, addresses, calendar should have a setting where the default is minimized so you only see the icons. And when activated, could either float in front of the main screen and then have a pin to lock it open.

In the right side menu starred, contacts, calendar need to show in a icon not detail. Its maximize space in inbox.
When zoom are 100% are break down right side menu in 14 inch laptop. Need to optimize.
Search in top should be align with Inbox.
Why not lunch Yahoo cloud drive?
Why push ads? Its annoying.
20GB for all services for basic (free) version is good. After that can be offer for purchasing.

The box to the right with "starred" and "contacts" ought to be removable for those who don't use it. It is an empty space that occupies too much screen area. Make reading emails very difficult if you are using side by side browsers on the same screen.

https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN37104.html is incorrect. This only works for the current browser pane. EVERY time a user loads the mail site, they have to carefully select the control (only a few pixels wide) to hide the enormous (and almost never useful) right pane. "Hiding" it needs to be something that is remembered for the next site access.
Is the ability to permanently "minimize" the starred/contacts panel? By putting it behind the "PLUS" subscription you are tacitly admitting that it is a user-hostile and unwanted "feature" that people will pay to remove/fix. If we're paying to remove it, at least let us actually remove it without having to click the minimize thing every single time

I just purchased the ad free version so i can get more room on my screen to read the content of my emails. I do not need the right hand column section on the right that allows you to see "starred and contacts" which is a TOTAL waste of screen space. I need to know how to remove this from my view so i have more screen width to read my emails properly. If this is not possible I will cancel my Plus subscription.

I can't figure out how to get rid of the right side contacts view, if it is even possible. I don't need it.

Hello Yahoo Mail team,
I would like to request an option to hide or collapse the right‑hand panel that contains “Starred”, “Contacts”, and “More”. In the new interface this panel takes up valuable horizontal space and cannot be removed, which makes the layout feel cramped on many screens. Please consider adding a toggle to disable or collapse this panel, similar to how the left navigation panel can be collapsed. This would greatly improve usability and customization for many users.
Thank you for considering this improvement.

Please make starred view optional as a default. The starred box prevents long subject lines and text (which I use a lot) from appearing. I would like to select starred if I want, but I don't use that filter very often.

So I'm still getting used to the new look. And it's fine. My only advice is that can us users close/shrink the side menu like folders. I use the folders/filtered emails more often than other priotised folders. Like. sent, draft scheduled, tharsh, spam, archive. Or let us customize it. Which are more preferred or unused, so it can be placed on tzhe bottom or such.
I can collapse the folders, that is okay, but for me that's just the opposite, I would like to hide the others as I wrote earlier. I hope I explaned it correctly. Thank you -

Allow me to keep the sidebar (Starred / Contacts) collapsed, don't reopen it every time I open Y!Mail.

Remove the fixed right pan feturing Starred/Contact section. That's a total consumtion of mail viewing pan on the right. earlier there was one click right expansion on the right view pan which is removed at teh present set up thus restricting eapnsion of the viewing pan to the right if required. Very poor design and appearance, no improvement at all, remove the guys who are formign these non-sensical type of user interface

I really don't need to see my contacts or starred messages. It's just taking up valuable space that I want to actually READ my emails. Please give us the option to get rid of the rid hand nav.

Give the option to remove the panel located right of the inbox panel (contacts/starred), it takes up too much space.

I collapse the Starred View pane by clicking the double arrow >> on the vertical divider. However, when I close and re-open the browser, it returns to the uncollapsed view. This is Firefox 147.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 11 Pro.
