Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

Recently, when viewing my yahoo email home page, I've been seeing a new section on the far right side of my screen. That section seems to be dedicated for viewing Contacts, Calendar, and Notepad.
I want my email PREVIEWs to include more of the screen, so how do I get ride of, or minimize the Contacts, Calendar, and Notepad section?
If I'm paying for Yahoo Mail Plus, why can't I have more control of how my home page looks?
Thank you for your time and attention.
Mike

I do not like the starred view box where it is stationary. I cannot read my emails as that space is not large enough without me having to scroll the bar left and right at the bottom of my email. What is the purpose of having that box there? Or at least hide it and when I want to see the starred messages, I have the option to click on an Open button or similar word. Please take it away.

Get rid of stupid right hand pane that makes the email preview smaller.

This new update on Yahoo mail for PC (Windows) have horrible layout, very hard to use. The right side column should be eliminated or at least can be turn off by users. I am a paid user for more than 10 years, never complained before. This new update made the PC Yahoo Mail not useable anymore.
The best yahoo mail is actually the IOS version which has many good features (like message, for today, yesterday). Please implement these features into Window PC (Web version).
Thanks.

My starred emails are displaying in a column far right taking up 1/3 of the display. Why? I don't need a constant list of those and now my preview box doesn't adjust so only half is visable.
And the the display in every column is huge, so much so that i can only read part of it and the top several lines of texts are obscured. I actually cannot read what the first email says or who it is from.
Why is it so difficult to customize how I want to view my emails? In the old system none of these problems existed.

Classic View had a great layout setup with the ability to see a wider view of your inbox list or actual message.

Please add the option to get rid of that side pane on the right...WORTHLESS & IN THE WAY. If new yahoo mail is going to be this cluttered and useless, I will go back to evil gmail I guess. WHY DOES EVERY OPTION HAVE TO SUCK?!?! I just want straightforward email, this used to be the simplest UI, which is why I switched to yahoo for my primary email. Now it's just gmail smashed with outlook, WHICH I HATE BOTH. Thanks for listening.

Agreed! I cannot see a full view of my emails. I shouldn't have to scroll left right and up and down to view a full-size email. This is worse than viewing a preview. At least make it optional to delete. This panel is redundant as we can view starred, contact, and more on the left side.
I'll be using old viewing until this is updated.

Agree this is critical! I need to see my full email message not half of it because the contact/starred email list is taking up room, there should be an option to remove it and pull it up when you need to.

remove starred, i dont care for that at all

Very critical. We want you to expand the previewing window

Please, please, please allow us to expand the viewing/previewing pane by allowing us to close down the right hand starred/contact pane. The new layout is VERY very inefficient.

First, I cannot wish enough bad on everyone at Yahoo who is even remotely involved in this outrageous BS.
Second, A large chunk of my viewing screen is taken up by a totally useless box showing Starred Emails or Contacts. Why on earth I cannot get rid of this box and make my viewing screen larger is beyond me.
Oh .. I remember .. Yahoo doesn't give a **** about its customer !!

Just go back to the previous version. Nothing else matters. We like Yahoo, not this Gmail clone you've made.

TODAY Please:
1. Add a hide button for the Starred Email box, it takes up to much visual space.
2. Return the received date that emails have arrived. i.e. Today, or what every date they arrived, that was so useful and I was unaware of how I relied upon it when prioritizing emails.
3. Increase the length of the subject line visable for unread emails. It is much shorter now and hard to decide if you need to open the email or delete or wait with such a short subject line visable. -

all that empty screen space on the right devoted to <starred> <contacts> & <more> is useless, counter-productive, and driving me to use another online email account instead of yahoo mail. I've been on yahoo mail since the mid-90s! This is, by far, the worst redesign yet.
The (yet again WASTED SPACE) for priorities, offers, social, & newsletters is **** that (from reading the posts here) that nobody wants. Please get rid of it.
The point here is that Mail Basic was a great, clean, simple user-interface, & speedy. this new mess is not. Resizable message viewing windows was just right. Please restore the Basic Mail user-interface.

Hi Andy, yes we are working on designs and code to allow our users to minimize the right hand column. It's coming! For now, we're going to merge your thread into the main one requesting this. Thanks for your feedback!

the "Star messages" box takes up too much screen real estate on my small macbook. Please provide an option to remove it so that I can see more of the message subject.

In general, I don't like this new format. On my phone I lose too many emails because i barely touch them and they slide to delete. I'm trying to look. On my laptop, the box to the right is not needed and I can't open emails properly when things are attached. I also cannot empty my spam file all at once and the categories to the left I don't like the arrangement. I've used Yahoo for around 25 years, and this is the first time I've considered no longer using it.
