Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

Very critical. We want you to expand the previewing window

Please, please, please allow us to expand the viewing/previewing pane by allowing us to close down the right hand starred/contact pane. The new layout is VERY very inefficient.

First, I cannot wish enough bad on everyone at Yahoo who is even remotely involved in this outrageous BS.
Second, A large chunk of my viewing screen is taken up by a totally useless box showing Starred Emails or Contacts. Why on earth I cannot get rid of this box and make my viewing screen larger is beyond me.
Oh .. I remember .. Yahoo doesn't give a **** about its customer !!

Just go back to the previous version. Nothing else matters. We like Yahoo, not this Gmail clone you've made.

TODAY Please:
1. Add a hide button for the Starred Email box, it takes up to much visual space.
2. Return the received date that emails have arrived. i.e. Today, or what every date they arrived, that was so useful and I was unaware of how I relied upon it when prioritizing emails.
3. Increase the length of the subject line visable for unread emails. It is much shorter now and hard to decide if you need to open the email or delete or wait with such a short subject line visable. -

all that empty screen space on the right devoted to <starred> <contacts> & <more> is useless, counter-productive, and driving me to use another online email account instead of yahoo mail. I've been on yahoo mail since the mid-90s! This is, by far, the worst redesign yet.
The (yet again WASTED SPACE) for priorities, offers, social, & newsletters is **** that (from reading the posts here) that nobody wants. Please get rid of it.
The point here is that Mail Basic was a great, clean, simple user-interface, & speedy. this new mess is not. Resizable message viewing windows was just right. Please restore the Basic Mail user-interface.

Hi Andy, yes we are working on designs and code to allow our users to minimize the right hand column. It's coming! For now, we're going to merge your thread into the main one requesting this. Thanks for your feedback!

the "Star messages" box takes up too much screen real estate on my small macbook. Please provide an option to remove it so that I can see more of the message subject.

In general, I don't like this new format. On my phone I lose too many emails because i barely touch them and they slide to delete. I'm trying to look. On my laptop, the box to the right is not needed and I can't open emails properly when things are attached. I also cannot empty my spam file all at once and the categories to the left I don't like the arrangement. I've used Yahoo for around 25 years, and this is the first time I've considered no longer using it.

I want to control what I see and don't see. If you have an option - fine - but i pay for this. It should be up to the user to determine what they see and what they don't. I don't want to see the right side panel unless I want to - because i want more real estate for my emails.
I also want the options of what I can choose to be in the right side panel - drafts, contacts, starred, previews etc.
FURTHERMORE I SHOULD HAVE THE OPTION TO HAVE OR NOT HAVE EVERYTHING. LIKE FULL CONTROL OF MY FOLDERS, FULL CONTROL OF COLORS I WANT FOR READ OR UNREAD EMAILS, FULL CONTROL TO MOVE AN EMAIL FROM ANY LOCATION TO THE LOCATION I WANT. FULL OPTION TO HAVE AI OR NOT. I DONT' WANT TO BE DICTATED TO ABOUT MY EMAIL INTERFACE.

The Starred/Contacts section is occupying one third of available screen. Whoever vetted this design needs to have their bonuses revoked.
Please give us an option to hide this so we can read our emails .

I do not need, or want the right side panel. It wastes space, it is in my way. For those who do not use it allow it to be removed. For a PC user like me it is useless.

I would like to remove (or the option to remove) the right side section with the previews. It makes my email section not fit on my screen. My laptop screen is 20" and I have my screen zoom set to the normal 100%. I only need to see my contact & other starred stuff rarely. I don't need it to always be up on the right side. I don't need the preview emails either.

Please allow an option to remove this big empty box on the right, it takes up space.

Ability to remove the right panel. You should be able to remove the right panel, on a 15" screen the real estate is very limited and having this take up 1/3 of the screen is wasted space.

I don't like the two letters in a circle beside the senders email. This distracts me. I don't like the new Standard Version because you have the box for the star messages on the right. This takes space from the page. And what if I don't want to star any messages? Then this box is useless and takes space.

Have the ability to remove/Hide the "STARED" Emails located on the right side. This would allow a bigger page for the email box.
