Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

I absolutely HATE the fact that this right side panel cannot be removed. It is absurd that Yahoo thinks that someone's idea of what MY screen should look like is forced on me with NO option to remove it. If it wasn't such a pain to change email accounts I would probably go to a different provider.

I agree with this. I really have no need for a side panel just for starred emails and contacts. it takes up way too much space

please remove or make it configurable to remove the "Starred/Contacts" window - it is taking up over a third of the web page but provides no value whatsoever. But it does case almost all subjects in the inbox to be truncated.

the space on the right of the screen is just a waste. I would rather read my mail there. Can that panel be removed??? I need to view my email with a larger font, I don't like to have to scroll left and right to simply read my mail. In the former interface I didn't have to scroll left and right.

Remove Starred/Contacts box. Takes up 1/3 of the screen. Or at least let me collapse it.

The left hand folder list and right hand "Starred" box need to be collapse-able. The email list is now limited to 35% of the screen.

For people who use portrait mode to view emails, the third column (star, calendar, contacts) is completely unnecessary and uses up valuable screen real estate to be able to view the 2nd (main message body) column. Email is now unusable.

Please include an option to remove this view. That whole window on the right uses too much space that could otherwise be used to view my emails.

Please allow me to hide the panel on the right. It takes up too much real estate.

Why do you take 1/3 of the screen for the "Starred/Contacts" box? Waste of space and annoying.

Yep. Without the ability to remove this right hand side (contacts?? is that what it is supposed to be for???) it is making yahoo mail very time consuming to use. On my screen, it takes up so much of the screen for something I will use maybe ... 5% of the time... such a waste of space to just blank out the space on the screen vs reuse the space for seeing more important content... like the contents of the email. Kinda like on THIS site. Waste of space on the right hand side....just forces me to constantly scroll which is such a waste of time when the space is there to limit scrolling. Lazy programming IMO.

Have option to NOT see the contacts on the right, takes up too much screen it takes up too much of the screen rather see list of messages with little spacing between and most of the subject

I agree with all comments below. The updated layout is making Yahoo very undesirable to use. I am using a laptop and have to scroll sideways to read the messages.
I figured out how to turn off the AI summaries on my phone but cannot do this yet on my computer.

The section on the Right side of screen needs to be removable. It makes the emails so small they are difficult to read. I'm investigating new email providers as Yahoo is unusable with this section,

If I wanted to read my email on a small screen, I would grab my phone. Having that right side panel is stupid. Most of the email I receive is NOT formatted with RWD (responsive web design), and as such there is a horizontal scroll bar under those messages. This makes no sense. At the very least, please give us the option to unpin the panel. Maybe there are users out there that actually want it, but I do not. Maybe I'll just use my Outlook app for my Yahoo email. Then you can't mess with it. Or after 20-something years with Yahoo, I'll just switch to Gmail (ugh).

This UI is terrible when you are on a small screen. Please make the right sidebar/column optional if you want to use it. I don't and should be able to close it out or disable it if it doesn't fit my workflow.

Whoever came up with this idea, should be fired ASAP, right after you fire the CEO for approving this debacle. Now, I will have to scroll horizontally when reading an email and get carpal tunnel. There should be an option for us to hide this. Reading an email is more important, then seeing your contacts and starred emails. This is not ergonomic. Very disappointing. This also questions how good is your IT department and security. Why would you change something that is not broken??

Is there a way to Remove the Starred Contacts section on the right or be able to hide that? This is not necessary and now I have to scroll horizontally to read my email. This is not ergonomic.

I agree with this and actually came here to post this. The big empty space to the right is unnecessary. It would be nice if there was an adjust column for it or if it was the same size as it was previously. The way it is now it cuts off the sender name. I might have to switch to gmail just so I don't have to open each email to see who it is from. Please revert this part back to the way it was before! Who did you get to test out these new features? Some of these moves are terribly designed.

Yahoo should have tested the new format before we are forced to use the new format. I cannot believe they call this new format an improvement.
whom did they ask for advice or who tested the new format?
