Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

At the very least, we should have the choice to remove it or use it. WHY is this window FORCED on us, with no choice about it being there??? It forces me to horizontally scroll just to read an email. So why would it be there, taking up vital real estate??? Please give us a choice to remove it or leave it, so different people can make this a useable service still. Otherwise, I and many like me, will have to find another email service to use.

Main screen does NOT need the window taking up 30% of the screen with "Starred, Contacts and MORE". It's a waste of space please remove it!

It is valuable real state and those lists are useless.
Generally speaking, please give power to users to tweak their UI. Do not impose your view on users.

please do this, we all want more space for main email window

Please rid of right side panel or make it smaller, or even possibility to hide. It is too big and take space from email main window

All the right side does is shrink the space to see actual e-mails. Mine is blank, making it doubly useless! Why did you even change your mail?

Yahoo, the layout and ability to change the customize the yahoo plus email page is horrible. You cant collapse the side panel, change the back ground colors. For older users with failing eye sight we need more area to read. Please fix this.

Agree, and would prefer all panels to be customizable/collapsible or arrangeable. I use different monitor screens and display/screen real estate isn't always the same.

Remove or shrink the starred/contacts box. or at least make it so we could eliminate this box

Totally agree. The right side panel has become wasted space in the new Yahoo Mail. It allows for less space to read my emails. It should have a button to allow it to be minimized.

Agreeing with other comments here: I need to be able to toggle the right side panel closed so the mail window is wide enough to see the full mail preview panel. I'm using a 13" MacBook, and that right panel takes up too much space. Allow us to hide it or toggle it. This makes using Yahoo Mail painful. I don't want to give up on Yahoo Mail after many years, but this will drive me away unless it is quickly fixed.

I agree with the other comments here. The right side panel is too wide and makes it so I can't actually see my whole email in the reading pane on my Macbook Air. Either make it more narrow or more responsive to the actual width of the display, or give me the ability to collapse it.

The right side panel wastes UI space on a Mac Laptop. I can not realistically preview emails, which makes the whole experience unusable; please remove it or at least make it collapsable... This alone sent me back to "classic"

in the updated version, the right panel containing the contact box takes almost 1/3 of the total width of my browser, and this 1/3 part contains mostly unimportant things--forced to be listed there. that is ridiculous.

Need the ability to collapse horizontally the right side panel with "Starred, contacts" so the reading pane can take that space and read the full width of the email on a laptop screen. That is a ton of screen space that is wasted if the user is not using starred emails or viewing contacts. This is an email app, reading email should be the main objective and easy to do. Horizontal scrolling is not acceptable. Bad UX.

This is important for me as well.

I do not use the side (right) column for Starred and Contacts, yet it takes up a significant portion of the inbox width. Therefore when messages are opened, they can only open in a smaller window. Please have the option to hide it or move those categories to the left column.

Just allow the right hand container to collapse ">>" into a non-obtrusive pencil bar with icons that expands out again when you click on icons or hover over tabs like contacts or starred. Problem solved, maintains functionality without taking up inbox real estate.
Also - I'm requesting a notepad tab that actually allows you to jot down notes right there in the right hand pane of the inbox, currently it takes you to a different page. but to have "notes to self" that show up on the side of my inbox whenever I check my email would be fantastic!

Also I would like to make the main email box larger or smaller. The first email I opened has to be shifted to the right to read it. This is 2024! I should only have to scroll up or down to read text on a screen, not left or right.
