Make "Unread" a visible menu option, more accessible
Make "Unread" a visible menu option, without having to click into a submenu. Ideally, allow customization of the default menu options that are visible.

100% the unread folder have to be in the main menu all the time and the blue dot should not go away. Why would you make your users make more clicks to get to previously existing functionality?!?! SILLY! The blue dot was so simple and convenient!

There is a theme here. Yahoo, please put most of the options on the left-hand side without having to dig deeper to go to sub-menu options (Unread, Spam, Etc.)

Bring the blue dot back, please. Why would you remove such a convenient feature in the first place?

You can go back to classic version by going to the three dots look like this ... it's under folders locate settings scroll down until you locate switch to basic email and click on it takes you to the classic version. You can also sort by oldest to newest or newest to oldest in Inbox, Spam, Trash folders, etc. Hope this helps.

i was actually trying to find this in the settings but it looks like you ********* again yahoo. already ppl wanna go to google mail so make it more like we were used to and fix it. i keep trying to go back to the old version of yahoo mail everytime you make me go to the new version that i never asked for!!! and i cannot now. so i was trying to customize it back as close to what i had and i cannot for some things. i have autism and i have my favs and it throws off my things that i got used to and im ****** about it. please put the unread menu under the inbox not in a sub folder. why did you think that was a super idea when everyone is telling you that idea is puke.

Please bring the blue dot back. This post appears to be about how hard/easy it is to change a message status to "read" or "unread." One commenter asked for the blue dot to be reinstated. I agree with this. The blue dot in the former version appeared on each email in the list and made it easy to switch between marking a message "read" or "unread." Now it takes three steps to change "read" status: (1) select the message, (2) right click, (3) select "read" or "unread" from the menu. The alternative of clicking "mark as read" at the top of the actual message is even worse.

bring back original "unread" tab

This is just horrible! Removing the unread messages tab and getting rid of the arrows to scroll through messages in the inbox in classic webmail is a dealbreaker for me. It's time to retire this 20 year old email.

Bring back the "blue dot" that has been replaced with badges icon for senders. That blue dot was a mighty little feature. Thank you!

Agreed! Quick visible differentiation between Read and Unread is essential! Bring back previous version, please!

This new layout is no good, I hate it, please just go back to the original. There's no visible innovation that I see, just mass confusion.

The new YAHOO is more work. More confusing and completely pointless. I know have to dig through another subheading to find pertinent emails that now just disappear under "Unread".
Who at Yahoo had to prove their usefullness by coming up with this backwards email format?
Just keep the classic! -

Bring back 'unread' selection on the left side of email screen, like the old email version had.

This is exactly why I came here to submit feedback. This is the dumbest thing they could have done. WHY DID THEY CHANGE YAHOO WHEN IT WAS FINE FOR OVER A DECADE!!! Stupid techs.

Unread mail definitely needs to be on the main screen.

I would like to have my unread and trash listed and easily visible rest of the folders, I don't want to have to click the three dots

I see if I click on the ... (3 dots) on the bottom left sidebar, the option for Unread is there (and shows a count). However, it would be more useful if this were a visible selection without having to click on the three dots. Or if there was a something in settings that would give the option to show any of the items you want under the 3 dots menu. And also to make the Unread a default if you want.
