Search results list should show folder
In the old version, when you searched for a phrase or sender, and a results list was displayed, one of the columns in the results list was "folder", so you could see if the listed email was in "Inbox" or one of your other folders. I found that very helpful. It's no longer there. Once again, good functionality lost or forgotten for no apparent reason.

Hi guys, this has now been added, not fixed. It was not a bug, but a feature we were going to add later. Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience! Now when you search for an email, the location of the email will show up on the left hand side. 👍🏻

You can go back to classic version by going to the three dots look like this ... it's under folders locate settings scroll down until you locate switch to basic email and click on it takes you to the classic version. You can also sort by oldest to newest or newest to oldest in Inbox, Spam, Trash folders, etc. Hope this helps.

They fixed this, but you still cannot see if the e-mail is in the "aa@yahoo.com" mailbox or the "bb@yahoo.com" mailbox. Just showing Inbox is not helpful.

This will be available starting this week! When you do a search, the email will show what folder it's in... We are very sorry, this should have been included awhile ago! Thanks for your patience!

The ability to see what folder an email is in has disappeared. Maybe because you added those ID circles to the left of the sender? Bring back folder ID so I don't delete something by accident when I sort by sender. Thanks.

I was kicked out of Classic and then I found out that I don't know what folder my list of searched emails are in (I have multiple folders). This is not good. From reading on feedback it appears Yahoo knows about this (at least Nov. 2024). Is it time to go to Basic (it probably has the same issue) or is it time to drop Yahoo Mail totally.

Not only that... but even when you click on an email in any folder or from your search of emails... no where in that email does it tell you what folder that email is currently in like the old version. At least the Basic Version that I can return to has that. Just really a miss in my opinion. No where can I tell where an email is. This may just finally push me to my gmail full time and abandon my yahoo email.

Your new improved yahoo has made it more difficult to find and do things I have been doing for years. You've taken away features with no alternatives for me and you have enslaved me to your view. El Crapo to you !!!!!

This is critical to me. Agreed, no apparent reason why this would be left out and has me trying to find a way to go back to the classic view (without the force to the "basic yahoo" view which has it's own issues from my trying of that).

In the previous version, if you searched for key words/phrases, your results would not just show the emails that contained your search words/phrases, but would show you what folders those emails were in. This was EXTREMELY HELPFUL. In the new version, there is literally no way to tell what folder an email is in unless you go to your specific folders and manually search for your email. I cannot tell you how much time and effort I've wasted moving emails into folders that were already in said folders because there's literally no way to know which folders they are in. I cannot fathom why this functionality was taken away, and unfortunately, I am unable to revert back to the old version.

When we filter received emails it doesn't show in which folders they were put in. It is really critical.
Example how it should be is in old version or Google mail. Thank You for reviewing our feed back!

Yes, I find this new version impossible to use. I can not find which folder my emails are in when I do a search, it's impossible to organize my emails and I accidentally deleted important emails

I use folders extensively, they are an essential part of my daily workflow. Being able to see which folder a message is in is critical for me. In the old web client, it was simple to search for mail and see at a glance if I'd missed moving something into the appropriate folder. Now I can't see which folder a message is in, even when I have that message open. This loss has made Yahoo! Mail much less useful for me. Please fix this!

Yes, and this function has been taken out of the basic version! This was an extremely important function and is a huge reason why I loved my Yahoo mail. I am getting fed up with the absence of these search functions. It is what made Yahoo stand apart from gmail.
