Link Preview in Emails
In new Yahoo Mail, "Automatically generate a preview of links" is not working. It should be fixed or just allow users to go back to old Yahoo Mail. Thank you.

The OLD version was better regarding inserting a website on a compose screen. The old version would actually show the website face page (i.e. YouTube) along with the address link. But, the new version only shows the link address. Please let me know if there is a way to convert the NEW version to allow the website to be visible on the email compose screen.

Attaching a link to a video in the "new" mail does not create a preview of the video like "old" mail did, even though the settings has the switch set on to create the preview. Still works fine in the "old" version. Please fix.

When I send a link such as a YouTube video, the previous email would show a thumbnail of the video. Now only the link appears. Please bring back the thumbnails!!!

As Previously stated. Nobody but the overpaid developer of this new trashcan your company is calling improved email is impressed with the garbage. I've been using yahoo.com for about 30 years & I believe that your time has finally come to an end. If the Old developer starts a new email service website it will bury your company. Nobody cared about you adding AD's to our pages, Taking away the best FREE email platform on the net will destroy your AD revenue Because I'm going to be using E-mail for another 40 years & I'll have to be making a switch to what is now the best. you removed the abilities that were costing you absolutely nothing to provide & instead lost millions of faithful users. Dumb Kids always think they know best. just a bunch of fruitloop eating basement dwellers patting eachother on the back most likely cost your company it's future. have a blessed life.

The previous version of Yahoo Mail was considerably superior to the current version, not only did it function better and was much more user friendly - even the appearance was better. It's pathetic that email in the early 2000s allowed you to customize features and decide which options you wanted and in 2025 - you not only aren't giving options but have the worst functioning design I've ever seen. I'm actually considering going back to Gmail over this.

new yahoo mail is poorly designed. when you implement something new it only make sense to IMPROVE over the old - not just replace it with something missing functions, that looks like **** and causes much confusion.

Yes. I agree. The old format is much better than this one. Why is Yahoo trying to be a dictator and force people to use something they don't want? Shouldn't we have a say in the matter as it affects us.? Put it to an HONEST vote and see what the customers want.

It was already mentioned complaint (i think) but at one point, you could copy + paste a URL and the hyperlink would then transform and appear as a visual thumbnail, inside the email being sent.
Within this visual GUI era of handheld and phone capacity, this is a very imperative feature, that allows the user instant capacity to engage in the experience of email...it was once a competetive advantage as to why I stayed on with yahoo...as opposed to creating a new email account with google or gmail...
Now that it is gone, there is no need to remain with YAHOO, any longer...as it was their one competitive advantage that they had at their disposal (in trying to keep up with the social media format for communication) that they've been losing, lost,...and will now potentially lose...a loyal userAs branding wise, when ppl say yahoo as an email address it already has a connotation of not being new...but rather old...in the same category as saying 'aol' or 'myspace' or, etc...young folks don't even acknowledge the concept of having an email
Therefore yuh done messed up...because in the attempts of trying to keep up, or keep up with the trends ya may've just un-intentionally, overlooked one of your competitive advantages of being online and possibly lost the loyalty of one of your repeat customers, in the attempts of trying to accommodate and behave like NEW, shame...
(AI) is not the smartest, it is just a smart & efficient tool, able to outdo the human ones (human tools)
ie.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRh1xU-HbnQ (after pressing enter) the copied link when placed in a message would populate as a thumbnail...making the email experience more visual, and therefore user friendly.

pasting URLs do not have the hyperlink - everything is text.
Checked computer's software and setting is set to link the URLs, thus problem is with the new Yahoo.
Not sure why Yahoo forces these changes every few years without vetting all features but just makes the user their employee to let them know about everything that doesn't work. Waste of time and we are not being paid. -

The new email system sucks. The old one worked better. I see since Yahoo stuck its head up Trumps ***, its going to **** too. I'm getting away from yahoo after 30 years.

Hi Joe, thanks for the request. We will certainly share this with our team and see if it's something they will add back in the near future. Stay tuned!
