Where is the bare basic mail experience now ? Why is the mailbox now so full of meaningless colors, blank spaces and poor clustering of colors that the contrast between important information pieces (titles from unread messages...) has gone down dramatically ? Purple yahoo icon next to purple inbox icon, next to purple checkboxes on each email, next to a purple circle on some emails, next to sometimes purple contact bubbles... And we are supposed to auto visually sort all that to identified which checkboxes / circles changed or which correspond to which email title ? REALLY ? Anybody at all with a background in visual communication efficiency and visual clarity in Yahoo's dev teams ?

Hi there, thank you for submitting feedback! We pushed the new layout a while ago and have been slowly migrating users. The migration is almost complete.
We see a lot of 'Compact View' feedback so we wanted to gather more feedback!
When looking at your Inbox, we have in the top, right hand side, the sorting icon. From there you can change the Inbox Spacing to: Small, Medium, Large. (Screenshot provided). Same under More > Settings > Appearance (Screenshot provided)
So our question to you:
- Are you not seeing these Settings/Choices?
- You DO see them, but you want it even more Compact? How compact is our question?

Instead of the old condensed listing format now there's only ~20 emails listed with the new distracting basic email UI on a 4K PC screen. Seriously ? How about even bigger contact circles with colors and listing only 10 emails ?
Now need to endlessly scroll even more to see the last 30 to 40 emails, waste of time and of productivity.Raoul Gary

Why when pasting a youtube link in a new message doesn't the new basic mail show a vid thumbnail anymore ?
Here we go again. Every 2 years yahoo ***** around w basic mail to add fluffy distracting shiny widgets that slow down productivity, introduce visual clutter, and screws things up. Basic users DON'T CARE about your copying of the latest Apple or Google UI exp. Do you know what the definition of BASIC is ? Why won't you LET BASIC ALONE and introduce instead a DEFAULT email mode (ie basic, default, advanced) where you can pull whatever UI rugs you want ? Or call basic BAREBONE instead and leave it alone. How complicated would that be instead of constantly disturbing the basic experience ?

Why has the middle mouse button disappeared from the "new" basic mail (on a PC w firefox) ? This button was a PRODUCTIVITY BOOST, allowing to open many emails in parallel as new tabs on the browser. Critical when searching through a dozen of emails or trying to piece back together the sequence of events in a chain of emails. Now it takes 3 TIMES the amount of clicks to do that. BRING IT BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My gosh how many features did Yahoo gut out from the "new" basic mail ? Should have called it the UNUSABLE new basic experience...
