Storage Feedback
very upset because I stayed with Yahoo and moved all my history here because yahoo mail offered 1Tb storage. Now I can't even pay to receive what was promised. Pay for 200GB when I had 1Tb for free? Why Yahoo? You should not take away from existing accounts but rather just limit new accounts. Yahoo apparently wants to have a reputation for lying, false promises, and taking away services from long time loyal users.

Hi Brad, thanks for the feedback. We will indeed share this with the right team. We actually do provide tools to help delete your emails or at least get it to 20GB. Looking at your Inbox, you will see the storage cloud icon in the bottom, left hand corner. Click on that and can manage your storage there. We have where you can sort by media, attachments, etc. This is not a email volume issue, but an attachments issue. Once you use the tool there, you can certainly bulk delete.
And in general, looking at your Inbox, in the top right hand side, you will see sorting options, one being "Largest First." Once in that sorting view, you can click on one checkbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top, from there you can Select All and then Delete All. So as you can see, we have a lot of options to help you manage your storage. Hope this helps! -

Well, you can improve it by not suddenly reducing the email quota to 20GB without warning and then suggest deleting one email at a time as a way to manage the change, and then recommend solving the issue by purchasing more storage, which used to be included in my free plan. I've been using Yahoo Mail for 30 years!!! How the **** do you expect me to go through my emails one at a time to find things to delete. At the very least, you should have tools to identify messages with large attachments and then allow me to delete or download the attachments while keeping the original message. By intentionally not offering management tools and cutting the quota so significantly with upgrading storage being the only option, you have forced me to finally switch to Google. The person that made this decision and was the architect of manipulating consumers has driven the final nail in Yahoo's coffin. You are going to loose SOOOOO MANY eyes on ads and this will be the end. People are smart enough to know when they are being manipulated and this is way over the line of being tolerated. Good luck in your careers at your future employer.

Dear Yahoo Support,
I am writing as a loyal Yahoo Mail user since June of 1997, and I am deeply disheartened by the recent reduction in the mailbox storage limit. After decades of reliable use and trust in your platform, I was surprised and frustrated to suddenly find my account flagged as over quota—despite previously operating well within the limits that had been in place for years.
To my knowledge, I have not added anywhere near 12 GB of new data in the short window between this change and the notice I received. It appears that Yahoo has reduced storage capacity from 1TB to 20 GB without adequate prior warning or transparent communication. This abrupt shift feels like a significant disservice to those of us who have remained loyal to the service for decades. I was always loyal to you.
Had I known this change was coming, I could have made informed choices about managing my data or transitioning to another provider. Instead, I now face unexpected disruption, forced clean-up, or pressure to upgrade to a paid tier, all without notice or consideration for my longstanding support of the Yahoo platform. This is a clear bait and switch.
I sincerely urge you to reconsider how these changes are being handled. Longtime users deserve clear communication, options, and above all, respect for our history with your company. Please advise whether any accommodations will be made for longtime users who are suddenly over quota through no direct fault of their own.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to continue using Yahoo Mail, but I need to feel that the trust I placed in your service for nearly three decades is mutual.
Sincerely,
Joseph Macek III

Why are you trying to tell us that taking away 90% of our mail storage space is an improvement, and why did you think we would believe such a ridiculous lie?

IT SUCKS THAT YAHOO WILL BE LIMITING OUR DATA SPACE!!!!!!!!! CUSTOMERS DON'T WANT THIS!!!!!!!!! IT WILL FORCE MY FAMILY TO SWITCH TO GMAIL, WHERE THEY DON'T CRAM A I DOWN YOUR THROAT AND DON'T FORCE UNWANTED MARKETING ON THEIR CUSOMERS!!!!!!!!! GMAIL IS A BETTER ALTERNATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLOSE YOUR YAHOO ACCOUNTS EVERYBODY. IT DOESN'T FUNCTION MOST OF THE TIME ANYWAY, AND NOW THEY WANT MONEY TO USE A "FREE" ACCOUNT??????????
