Return to Classic Mail
Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

The "upgrade" can only be described as a downgrade; Yahoo Mail is now all-around worse. I don't want Yahoo Mail Basic but I do want to revert back to what I had before. Since you're not going to return Yahoo Mail to something good, though, some things that need to be fixed immediately are:
- stop defaulting to the Priority tab
* Who even knows how "Priority" is determined? I certainly don't know, and the label is completely wrong regarding my email. The default tab should be "All" and/or users should be able to set their default tab, which can't be done now.
- stop defaulting the Folders to be closed/collapsed
* The default setting for the Folders should be opened/expanded and/or users should be able to set their Folder preference, which can't be done now.
- there should be a number to the right of Inbox that shows how many unread emails are in the folder, regardless of the label (i.e. Priority, Offers, Social, or Newsletters) they're mis-assigned to
- if users hover the mouse over Inbox, they should be shown the number of how many emails are in their inbox
- give users the option to have Archive, Spam, and/or Trash listed by default (like Inbox, Starred, Sent, and Drafts are)
- give users a trash can to the right of both Spam and Trash so that they can be cleared without requiring the user to enter the folder -

This new GUI is awful, the main one of the disorders is that you can't see on the left bar how many unread emails you have, what **** did you have on your mind when you made a new GUI? Have you been drunk?

I've read through the long list of grievances, and I share most of them. It is unfathomable that a company can have so little respect for its customers. Since you no longer simultaneously display new messages from my Gmail account, I have missed important time-sensitive messages. The column of starred messages takes up too much space on my screen and I don't see a setting to let me customize my display by deleting that column. Read the list. I agree with most of them. Now I need to search for a way to forward all of my messages in all of my folders to a different email provider before Yahoo spirals out of business.

The old setup was just fine, it allowed me to do everything I needed to do. Just one day using this new Yahoo wasted my whole day. I hope I don't need to find a new email provider. For many years I've been happy with Yahoo and have recommended Yahoo to friends & family.

I've been a yahoo user for over 25 years, and I'm just done. It was simple and effective, not cute, not grossly invasive. Since I live in California, I have the legal option (thank you state legislature) of requesting a full data dump and deletion--I will be taking that option. For the rest of you in the US, you can contact your state reps and demand that they institute something like the CCPA and CPRA in your state. I realize we don't all agree on everything, but we can probably agree that we should have control of our own data.

I don't see any advantage to this new version. I was able to do all I needed on the classic version without having this new look which I hate. Leaving Yahoo soon if I have my way.

This has taken away much of what I relied on. When I wanted to attach something to a message, I'd
click the clip figure. I also had a photo section of past and present pics.
All this is now gone. And I needed it so many times.
GO BACK TO THE CLASSIC VERSION. ASAP
