Been a user for well over 15 years. The new mail version is so atrocious, I will completely abandon Yahoo mail, if I lose the ability to go back.

I do not like the new format. I would like to have more options for customizing the background and layout of the page. I also miss the option to select all emails from a sender, that was a great option to clean up old emails.

I have a lot of folders, and the new view is awful. Why was it necessary to change anything in the old basic view? I have been using it for 25 years, one of the first to use and support yahoo.. There is no more gear icon in basic to make a few UI changes. I can have basic, but without the preview pane. Really? Why can't we have a preview pane in the basic version. This is dumb, really hurts people who use the email for everything. It is upsetting and bizarre that any email provider would do anything they can to disrupt your life, and this is not the first time. I can think of a hundred different things that Yahoo can do to improve their business without messing around with email.

I found the option to go to Basic Mail at least now shows the Spam and other folders (without extra clicks of the ...) like the old version and also allows clicking the delete icon and 1-press return to permanently delete spam, but the icon to click and view all messages by sender is still missing. Why they added the view all by sender to Android, but deleted that option from the desktop does not make any sense as it was far easier to clean up/organize mail from the desktop. Also Basic Mail also lacks dark mode option that the old version had.

Hate the new version. How do I sort incoming by sender?

I get unbearable headaches looking at the new format between rows on Windows. My eyes don't like it. I have to check email on my phone now instead of Windows, because the phone looks pretty normal. The new format looks confusing the way the rows don't have clear definition. It looks like they were drawn by a young child
