Navigating the inbox list
First, a fix request: the "keep folders expanded" tip did not work for me. I see the double arrows, but no dropdown appears.
Second, I miss the inbox division by date. It was a quick way to see at-a-glance which emails I've already gone thru. Please consider at least making it optional for people that want it.
Third, I wish there was a way to condense the inbox list vertically, similar to Outlook. The extra padding around each line actually makes it harder to see things quickly. Too much visual clutter with the extra space and the logos. Would actually prefer just text and fitting more on the screen at once.

Hi Ellen, once you expand the left column by hovering over the edge and clicking on the double arrows, the Folders next to it will have a drop down arrow. From there you can expand the folders and they will stay expanded until you logout or refresh the page.
