I have deleted thousand and thousands of emails and I am still getting the storage error I will be switching to google permanently.

Hi Erin, this is mentioned in the email and in our help articles. Once you delete your emails, you still need to empty your trash and spam. Then your storage number will decrease. Hope this helps.
