Eliminate the ads that says "3 MESSAGES" - it is a scam that takes over the screen
I clicked on this ad - I thought it was an email. I didn't even click on a link.
My screen was immediately filled with content that my computer had been infected.
There was also a blaring beeping sound and a warning to not shut down my computer or there would be further damage. I closed my screen but the sound persisted. This was a scary situation for me since I didn't know how to get it off the screen and was 100% sure it was a SCAM.

Today I went into yahoo mail and saw an *obvious* fishing email as an *ad* at the top of my mail box. It was prompting to fix a "norton payment failure" and set them to this page
Which when you land on it is an *obvious* scam site.
Don't do that anymore.
