Can there be a way to turn off the little "primary" markers in front of email subjects in the inbox list?
There is now a way to default the inbox to "All" instead of "Primary" but emails the system has determined are "Primary" appear with little highlighted labels to the left of the subject. The trouble is whatever the system's notion of "Primary" is, it has NOTHING to do with me or how I consider the emails. It is a completely useless notion. I don't have a clue what the algorithm is for identifying what is "Primary" or not - but it is not MY algorithm and does not match what I consider "primary". So these labels are annoying. Can there be a way to turn them off (that is, silence them)? I don't see a way to adjust the algorithm or specify the "rules" (if it is there - mea culpa - I have totally missed it).
Yes, we introduced Inbox Categories to help organize your emails better, but we also understand that not everyone would need or want, therefore, you can disable it under your Settings and go back to having just one Inbox.
