why did you fix something that wasn't broken. took away all the colors which worked to make it comfortable for your eyes. I may have to export all my mail to another program. really annoying trying to read my emails

I did not ask that the background colors for my email be changed and yet here we are! The only options I now see are either light or dark. How do I get my original reddish back ground colors back????

i cannot change anything of consequence with the setting file. i want to change font and configure it so it automatically goes to primary. now i have to manually change it.

Please allow Themes again. What I had before was a purple border with the inside email all white. It was easy on the eyes. As you have it now, it's either all dark or all light. Horrible. I can handle the new format if I could choose a color for the border surrounding the email. Thank you.

Where is the colour customization? I see no themes.

The original Yahoo Mail offered a color option. My screen was green, which was my color preference. Now, all I get is a blinding white mode or a dark mode that doesn't show some of the details within an email.

Plus, every time I open this new Yahoo Mail, it asks if I want to open an application to mailto links. NO! I don't and it asks every time I open it....no matter how many times I turn it down.

I really miss the stationery icon and would like to have it back, please!

Why does every company think that users like and want this washed out look? Why can't we have an option to have crisp sharp contrasts? Honestly, that is the first thing that I thought about when I saw this new look and why when I had the option last time Yahoo switched me to the new look, I immediately switched back. Maybe, if I could choose to have more contrast or sharpness, I wouldn't hate the new look as I do now. Switching to Dark mode is NOT the answer.

Dark Mode revisions are needed, bold text and unbold text appear to look the same. for example in normal mode a read message is no longer bold, while in dark mode it is impossible to distinguish between the two. Also the dark mode color does not play well with my partial color blindness and the normal mode the entire format is white causing eye strain... previous versions had a colored menu and only the message area was white... BRING THIS BACK. The former format was perfect, the text was great and now it is difficult for me to use the mail on my PC because of these small changes. Also, the message header or control panel in the message preview is too wide/Tall as it takes up too much space for no reason at all. Due to the format, I must zoom in to read the text, but zooming in forces me to open the message completely to minimize the amount of scrolling required when I did not have to previously. I've been using Yahoo mail for more than 20 years... I'm slowly being pushed away for your platform... these are not major issues, but they are easily corrected. Please for those of us who loved the old format, fix these issues and give us was to customize the look and feel so that bright white or dull gray background can be changed.

Additionally, Previews of the message "topic" should able to be modified as with previous versions, meaning I should be able to choose between a single line or two line topic previews. I know you guys listen to your subscribers so please make these changes... Customization is huge, particular background color and text formatting. If night mode must be grey, choose a darker color. I'd prefer to have choices in dark mode... light gray, dark gray or black. I'm not big on message themes, but some customization is very beneficial to the user experience such as text or font size in general not necessary just when sending a message. With more than 20 years of using the platform and with experience using countless others including Gmail, Proton, etc., Yahoo has always had the best format. Now suddenly you've become just as generic as the rest. You still have a a large marketshare, I'm afraid this latest move will threaten that. We're forced to have Gmail if we own an Android phone, but I hate it... Your new format has now become very similar to it. Please fix these issues and implement more customization.

Before we could actually select the color of the Mail and Inbox...would so love for that to come back. I prefer my Inbox to have a color different from the page

The dark mode color is not good for some of us who are partially color blind... while the inbox is similar to the original format and is an improvement over the previous iteration, it is still a challenge to look at without having to Zoom in. There's an old adage that says, "if it ain't broke don't fix it." I'm certain there were necessary changes that needed to be made, but you could've keep the same look after so many of us long time users who have been with you for multiple decades complained about. We're only still here because we dislike Google and Gmail... but now many of us will be reconsidering it due to the changes... the loss of the notepad, etc... Fix the formatting and keep some of your longstanding users... Thanks.

This is ugly and *bare*. It feels stripped down, somehow.
Could we please have something other than stark white / pale grey as the background? Its ******* the eyes.
Iirc, previously, there were coloured 'surrounds', if thats the right word. Perhaps we could get those back? It would definitely help. The old layout felt more 'friendly' as well. Psychological but...
Also, is there a way to change the size of the font? Not just on outgoing emails but incoming ones as well? Maybe its the starkness of the current layout but the lettering is definitely more difficult to read with this one.

Yes, we like Dark Theme but not for the Email/Message Body.
Please make Email/Message Body Background WHITE.

Allow color combinations that do not fall into the standard Light, Dark, or High Contrast modes. I have vision contrast issues that make ALL of the standard combinations difficult to use. Typing this message in standard Light mode is actively painful. My normal default is a light grey foreground with a medium green or blue (not teal) background.

Provide a color palate option instead of just white and dark (like the old Yahoo Mail). The white is too bright, and teh dark is too hard to read.
