Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

GET RID OF THE STARRED VIEW BOX! Or at least let us close it! It takes up too much space on the page and is completely useless!
Dump the AI **** as well!

I hate the right side column. Add a toggle in settings to turn that off.

The right side panel with starred messages, contacts, etc. takes too much space and makes reading emails difficult. We should have the option to collapse/hide/remove it.

Please restore the option "filter messages like this" that appeared on right clicking an email in your inbox. I do not want to manually add filters in the settings as it takes significantly longer. It has immediately become much more difficult to organize my inbox with the removal of this option.

The new upgrade is generally okay, but it would be very helpful to have a slide-in/slide-out or collapse option for the right-side Settings pane, as it currently occupies around 25% of the screen, making it difficult to read emails comfortably.
Also, please consider keeping the Classic theme/interface available as an option. The newer look is more difficult to navigate and is not as convenient for daily use. Providing users with the choice between the Classic and new interfaces would significantly improve usability.

The new format is too wide for my screen using a Chromebook I have to scroll right to find my log-out option and see the contact list. How do I fix this?

Make the side panel on the right removable in the settings. I do not need it there. It blocks a big chunk of my space.

The tab on the right used to be the one where you read the preview of the email, now it's empty and takes about 30% of the screen for nothing!

It's notiecable how much wider the ads are on the right of the screen which forces you to scroll left and right on your message to read it which is very clumsy and time consuming and interruptive. And what's equally frustrating if not more, you've taken away the right facing arrow in the middle area to push away the ads temporarily. Clearly Yahoo is trying to force people into paying for "ad free". It's so annoying and I"ll consider changing from Yahoo for this.

When an email message is displayed on my laptop screen, I can't see the whole image because the right side is obscured by ads. I have to move the image left and right to read it. This is very annoying. I implore you to revert to the old version of email and stop this torture!

It's distracting and doesn't add anything to my experience except get in the way. Please remove it or at least provide an option to remove it. Thank you.

Give me back the older, more useful U!. There should be a toggle for that. Forcing this on users, particularly ones that pay, is just like Microsoft enforcing UI changes via upgrades (at least there are utilities that can resolve that annoying problem). I'm ONLY interested in email.

Because the right side tool bar is horizontal, it creates a lot of wasted space while not in use. Franky, the middle reading panel has now become much too small. A fix would be to allow for (1) the right side tool bar with contacts, starred emails, etc., be shown as vertical when not in use (like the left side tool bar) and (2) the ability to expand the center reading panel. I really, really dislike the small size of the reading panel. It has reduced the usefulness of Yahoo Mail, and I may move key emails to another service if not corrected.

I really hate the right side pane that shows my starred items. I don't need to see this everyday. It doesn't make me "more productive". It feels like the New Yahoo Mail is a step backward, not forward, b/c of the distraction with the right side pane. I know how to hide it temporarily, but I want to just turn it off.

Layout for split screen unreadable on surface-sized screens. due to large ad real estate, and redundancy in toolbox - shown both in hover and on the actual email - you cannot actually read any of the message in split screen mode. Scrolling gives only a couple of lines at a time. Everything takes too much space - old yahoo format allowed better reading of split screen emails.

Please stop the right hand pane from popping out every time I open yahoo mail. This is the one that shows starred messages, calendar, etc. It always shows starred messages on the right - I don't want or need this. I can close it using the arrow on the left hand edge of the box, but it is really annoying having to do this every time. How to keep it minimized??
