Making so I can apply rules, or filters as you call them to emails in my inbox. Like I could before you forced this new ****** version.
In the classic version. I could select an email or multiple, then click a button at the top of the inbox and tell the system what to when emails from this sender, subject, etc. come in. No hunting for a setting or digging into a setting. Now I have to go to the more section, go into settings, click filters, then compose the filter with no help or connection back to the email sitting in my inbox to reference. It makes it even harder that I can't see the email/inbox while doing this. I've only been using the new version…

Message Subject
When I hover over a message, a toolbar covers partially the subject. But on very wide screens and if Unsubscribe button is not displayed, I sometimes still can see the subject. I think you can expand the toolbar to cover more, perhaps everything except the checkbox. Although, if you cover the checkbox too it will be even less usable. You decide. But definitely obscure more, this is too easy.

consistency
The icons at the top of the screen are not terribly intuitive, but if you have to use the two envelopes, then please keep them in the same place whether the user is on the Inbox screen or within a specific message. On both screens, the "Move" icon is directly to the left of the trash, but on the inbox, the "mark as read/unread" is to the right of the trash, while in the email message screen itself, that option is positioned two actions to the left of the trash. I waste much time clicking the wrong icon, marking as…

Starred Email
It's insane that you took away the icon on the left to see starred email. Now I have to do twice as much work because I have to go to a pull down menu, slide the button to on and then my starred email comes up. When I am done now I have to go back to the pull down menu, slide the button to off in order to view my inbox. Why you think this new email is improved is beyond me. It's a major step backwards. Bring back the ability to use the old email format that was…

Middle click messages to open them in a new tab
Previously, users were able to middle-click messages in their inbox to open them in a new tab. That functionality hasn't been replicated in the new interface, and it makes checking new messages much slower and more cumbersome.

condense the email spacing
I work on a good sized laptop. I use preview so the top of the page is the emails and the bottom is the one email I am looking at.
The top portion I can only see 5 emails at a time because they are so spread out.
The bottom, the email header does not scroll, so that takes up a bunch of space.
The body of the email has such small space that scrolls that I have to scroll up and down to see hardly any of the body of the message.
I am sure the person that designed…74th ranked -
Simplify Move email Functionality
Simplify move email search functionality to only return the folder being searched for and not its parent folder. I want it it go back to Shift+D type phrase and hit enter; instead of having to arrow down to the folder name I entered. Currently have to navigate over the parent folder.

right panel always open - hate newest update for yahoo mail (pro, paid user)
I hate the new layout of the yahoo mail. 24 years customer- paying of yahoo mail. The right side menu with the starred items, always is open- I close it. Then reopen email another time, it's open. It takes up space. make it so it stays closed or we can remove it. The lines are too far apart vertically in the preview... less emails to glance at quickly. Please help me enjoy yahoo mail again (which i prefer over gmail immensely, by the way), Talked to chat, they sent me here. The other BIGGER issue is that the little arrows…

Suggestions
Dear Yahoo support team member,
I have been using Yahoo Mail for over 20 years. Below are some comments regarding the New Yahoo Mail:
1) The classic Yahoo Mail was excellent—the best web-based email service available. Now, I am very dissatisfied with this new Yahoo Mail.
2) It is no longer possible to choose a background color; you can only select between LIGHT, DARK, or DEVICE settings. What a pity!
3) Attachments from older messages do not appear within the messages themselves (unbelievable); instead, they are located in a separate folder, outside of chronological order. It’s a complete mess.

COMPLETE Email addresses should be seen at all times without "hover" only
This cartoonish change is a massive security risk ... COMPLETE Email addresses should be seen at all times without "hover" only. There is no way to scrutinize a scam email address except with a mouse hover? That just put peoples security at risk OR you're deliberately hiding "bad actors/scammers" who use obscure character combinations, THIS should be seen at a glance and visible at ALL times to prevent opening corrupt email. Whoever designed this should be fired

No gamification
Gamification, "streaks", or whatever is a wholly pointless and invasive "feature" that adds nothing and only detracts from what is supposed to be a tool for business.

Indication of day, week, month etc
Why did you remove the indications/headings that divided emails in our inboxes into today, yesterday, last week, October etc? These were very helpful to immediately see which emails were more recent and to find emails in our inboxes. Please bring back this at least as an option rather than forcing us into one monolithic inbox

I don't like it.
Don't like the fact that I cannot widen "new message" area; Don't like the fact that I cannot close preview section.
It takes more steps to move a message to a file. There are a few more reasons I don't like the new feature, but I'm still working on checking out the so-called new yahoo mail.74th ranked -
Restore the left-sidebar list of linked mailboxes
Please restore the left-sidebar list of linked mailboxes. I manage 14 accounts, and the new flyout takes extra clicks every time I switch or look to see if there is new mail in them.
