How can we improve Yahoo News?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

Every time I visit your site, I am constantly harassed by malware, I believe it is coming from the ads on the news articles that I am browsing.
It makes the site unusable, I catch myself thinking twice about even going to yahoo.com and many times I don't.

  2. Warning: Your Titles and Pictures contain SPOILERS!

Warning: Your Titles and Pictures contain SPOILERS!

The day after Better Call Saul aired, you post a picture of who returned?!
Then you warn us of spoilers after you already have the title and picture giving away the spoiler!?
STOP THAT! Wait at least a few days, GEEZE!
    You're ruining shows and movies!

  3. News Board to scroll

    Hi Team,

I am avid follower of the Yahoo news and it was comfortable to scroll to the news Board as we might want to scroll through the available highlights of the news and any thing particular is something interesting we would click on it to read the complete story. But with the current homepage while we open yahoo.com it always forces us to click on the next story to view it completely but never gives as an option to scroll through the news board.

Hope the team agrees with me and wish to have it for a better usage.

  4. Your on-top news articles are annoying.

When I click on a news article I get a yahoo page with the article on that page in a sort of "box" with an "X" at the top-right. I don't see the purpose in this. Why not have the page be the article? Let's say I go to another screen and want to return focus to the browser with your news article on it. If I click on any area outside that "box" the article disappears and I'm looking at a news page. I can't tell you how annoying this is. Please just give me a page that is…

  6. Stop posting nothing but negative stories about pittbulls. It's the owners

STOP with all the negative stories about pittbulls. It is the owners, not the dogs that are the problem. If you own a breed know for aggression(pitts are NOT the only ones) you have to be more responsible, especially in public. People put the dogs in those situations where attacks happened. The dogs did not choose it themselves. STOP helping to give the breed a bad name. Admonish the owners for a change.

  7. Why do my comments ever get posted? Do you have to have special clearance from Yahoo. It looks like only your chosen friends are allowed.

Apparently the only people allowed to comment are Yahoo's special friends, not the general public.

  12. I am an independent who leans conservative on most issues. I am so sick of getting push down alerts from Skullduggery

Why am I getting pushdown alerts that should be left to actual important news from Skullduggery, an opinion hit piece on the current administration. It's ******* me off and I'm about to block Yahoo as a news source.

  13. The Daily Yahoo emails are missing the Recommended Reads stories. It's just blank and when you click View as Webpage it's also blank

I subscribe to The Daily Yahoo email and for the past few weeks the Recommended Reads section is blank. Everything else is there (Featured, What's Hot, Trending). Even when you click View as Webpage it's missing. It's happening in the ios email client, Yahoo email app, and on the web, it seems to be an issue with the importing of the actual recommended reads into the email template that's busted. Are you guys going to fix it or what?

  16. Regarding submissions of comments.

Quit being so despotic & autocratic about "comment content". You feature an article about General Motors phasing out some Cadilac vehicle models; and creating new ones. I went to the Comments section below the main article. I tried to enter a written comment; but my comment entry was denied. You appear to want to deny me, my
Constitutional rights. Freedom of Speech (by commenting) Freedom of Choice (by using Yahoo; as an internet site.) : & maybe one or two others, too. I don't see much fairness or equity, in how you handle the
    submission of comments.

  17. Stop showing the same trivial notifications repeatedly for 6+ months!

I commented on an opinion article last January and Yahoo Notifications keeps including a troll's response to my post as if it is something important that I need to be reminded of 100+ times. It is not! Please stop showing old and worthless information in my Notifications Yahoo! Thank you.

  19. AvoirDerma Cream should not be allowed to "make up" celebrity news stories to sell their product.

According to the false story on your homepage (6/30/18), Kate Middleton has..."teamed up with Dr. Oz to create a skincare product that actually works and it seems that their latest formula is the REAL reason for her youthful look."

The false story also includes quotes from other celebrities who supposedly use the product, like Reese Witherspoon, Pipa Middleton, Meghan Markle, Emma Thompson and Helen Mirren.

I have seen other false ads from the same company about other celebrities, like Joanna Gaines. Some people actually believe this foolishness. Please investigate businesses before you accept their advertising dollars.

  20. Quit having me click twice or more!

When I click an article to read, I don't want to have to click another link to 'read more'. Why do you think I clicked the link in the first place, to hopefully have to click more links? I immediately leave the page and never look back. Same with a full page ad, I just close the browser window and move on. If you want readers to stay on your site maybe you could make it easier without the annoyance of redundant clicking.
