Please explain why, as a commissioner, I cannot change roster moves after the games are done, like in football.
For some unknown reason, as a commissioner in a bball league, I cannot make changes to the other teams lineups, after the games are over, as long as said teams let me know to change them for them, cause they had no chance to do their lineups, now the players are on the bench, and they got no credit for the points. What gives? In yahoo fantasy football I could change players lineups at any time. Please help me. People are complaining.

A new option should be added maybe called "Daily - Anytime" to both allow changes to your roster at any point on the day of games prior to tip-off and then after a player's game begins any adds/drops in regards to that player are then reflected on your roster the following day. The two systems now reduce "Daily - Today" adds to a free-for-all of whoever wakes up earliest the next day (especially east coast) since there aren't even some kind of nightly claim options or players. Then "Daily - Tomorrow" means if a player finishes a great game the previous night he can't even be added to a roster for another day which could mean missing the entire second game of his back-to-back that week. The two systems that Yahoo offers are only one way or the other and seem to wildly limit manager capabilities.

Allow roster changes option isn't available after draft. I want to change this.

There are a lot of features like this that i don't understand why they've been available in football for years but never find their way to the other sports.
I would like to have this in basketball, but what i would like to have even more (or both) is for, in leagues with weekly changes, allow the commissioner to make midweek changes for any team that would apply at the time of the change. That way, if someone has a player get injured on tuesday, the commissioner would be able to make an emergency lineup change on wednesday for that team so they wouldn't be screwed for the rest of the week, but the stats the injured player accrued up to that point would still apply. -

It would be great if the commissioner could adjust the lineups even after the games to avoid benched players not receiving points. With this it could be avoided that managers who cannot set their team for (a) given day(s) receive fair points.
Anyways league well working, congrats to the team!;)

Football is the only fantasy sport that allows the commish to make roster changes after the fact.

The commissioner tools page for editing another team's roster is very tedious with the drop down menus. It should just be as fluid as editing a roster on a normal team page. The edit roster function doesn't even display the opponents for the day, making it harder to make an effective roster change. I have to open up another window with the team page to see who's playing to be able to help the team that requested the favor.
In addition, some other changes to this function would include being able to edit rosters for previous and future days, as well as all changes showing up in commissioner changes so they can be held accountable.

Commissioners are able to edit team rosters on the same day. As this is good for teams that are unable to edit teams due to emergency or anything, this feature just provides an advantage to one single team, the Commissioner's team.
Good scenario:
Team A is unable to edit roster because he went away and just found out that there are no internet connection anywhere, contacts the commissioner so he can edit his team roster.
Bad Scenario:
Douche commissioner wants an advantage in the playoffs or the championships. I know not all commish are bad, but it still the feature opens up a can of worms. Commissioner can put all players of his opponent in the bench on the same day. Without any indication in the "Changes" tab in commissioner's corner. No one will know what will happen because the Douche Commish can just say, I have no idea what happened, you need to ask Yahoo! which would take a long time and tedious, that the opponent will just forget about it.
For the good scenario, I suggest returning the old feature of only being able to edit the next day. That one day that wouldn't be edit can be somewhat of a consequence, though a small one, of being away. It's part of the fantasy game, and part of life. But at least the commissioner can still edit for the next day.

I've been in a keeper bball league since 98' on here - so I've seen just about everything as commish - 1 thing that happens is guys aren't able to set lineups sometimes (surgery, sickness, etc).. Commish Tools should allow the Commissioner to be able to edit their lineup for at least the next week.. (the current set-up is just the current day). Nobody wants to edit another person's lineup every day I'd rather get it all over at once. Thanks

For example:
We may have a league where we have a point system and the tiebreaker is an additional category. This would allow the commissioner to type in an additional point to break the tie.

Totally agree. Commissioner should be able to edit rosters for the past. We can do it in fantasy football. I can understand some sort of time limit, but frequently, a guy calls 10 minutes after a game started and asks if he can switch his roster. In football, we can help him. In basketball, he's out of luck.

I agree with this too. In addition, the commissioner should have control for roster management of all teams for past games (as with Yahoo Fantasy Football) and future ones (also like fantasy football).
