Schedule/Scoring Formats - 'Doubleheaders vs league score median'.
Each week, the median fantasy points of all teams in the league is calculated by taking the middle number in a sorted list of scores of each team. Each team would get a win if they beat the league median and a loss if they lose to it.
This feature is now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus.

I beg, please allow a customization schedule. We have 12 teams, 3 divisions, 4 teams each and playoffs start week 15. Do the math. Someone is left out and you only play 11 teams total and not all 12. Help my friends not feel left out!

I would think that the computer code writers would embrace a change to having every team play every team each week. They wouldn't need to have the computer generate a schedule of which team plays which team for the league. They wouldn't need to store the schedule for use during the season. At the end of the week, they could simply rank the teams by their scores for the week to determine each team's wins and losses for that week.
Thus, it would require less computer code to program, less computer time to run, and less data capacity to store. -

Please add this, and allow flexibility with this. Don't just implement it so that every week has to be a double header, or no week is a double header.
We'd like to have the same structure as the NFL, so 17 games -- some weeks would be double headers, and other's wouldn't.
This feature would pull many people from the more robust sites like MFL. Your interface is great, just get more options for your hardcore fans!

I want this option as well. As a commissioner, I want to be able to schedule a division game and non-division game each week. Not sure why this hasn't been done yet. Idea first posted prior to 2016 season.

I am strongly hoping yahoo adds this as an option for leagues. Everyone in the two leagues I am in wants to change the league to this type of standings/records, it keeps the weekly head to head match-ups relevant, while also giving teams that put up a lot of points but are having bad luck a better chance to compete. PLEASE add this in for next year so we do not need to look at other options and change the site we have been using for YEARS.

Yes! Please add double headers!

I'm familiar with this in custom leagues and would love the option in yahoo. My league has considered switching to a custom league to obtain this feature. This is a happy medium between the standard head-to-head system and the all-play system. Please add!

In addition, this can also eliminate the requirement for a league to have an even number of teams.

We want to eliminate (or reduce) the level of luck in Head-to-Head matchups. Please code an option where each team every week plays 2 Head-to-Head games instead of 1.
This will likely limit the “one off” fluky Head to Head matchup where two weekly bottom feeders pair off.
It also will increase league activity and enjoyment. Playing two teams instead of one will promote more banter and options to get wins.

If Yahoo would allow playoffs to be more customizable the need for this decreases, but if thus were available it should be customizeable to rewards teams varying amounts of points for either the number of points scored each week or the rank of a team’s points vs the other team’s points. In our 10’team league this year, 5 times has the team with the second most points lost to the team with the most points and four times has the team with the 2nd fewest points won...the best owners aren’t being rewarded, only luck. An example would be to allow “x” points for a victory and some fractional point based on score ranking each week... both values assignable by the commissioner.

I think yahoo should add a victory points option. The way it works in H2H leagues, you play your H2H matchup and that's a win or a loss. (1-0) then your score is compared to the rest of the league, if you are in the top half of scoring you get another "win" if its the bottom half you get a loss. So every week there is 2 games. So you can be 2-0, 1-1, 0-2, on any given week. This helps reduce the luck of H2H schedules. It's funny to read how I am 6-4 but if I have so and so schedule I would 9-1.

I am in favor of this suggestion as is my 12-team league. Many other fantasy football league platforms already have this optional setting. I don't see a reason why Yahoo shouldn't too. It minimizes luck and improves W/L record accuracy.
I also think Yahoo could include a 0.5 and 2 point option (in addition to a 1 point option) for each win/loss over the weekly league average. -

Please add this feature! It is such a pain to manage a two game week (H2H matchup and points-based matchup) manually in a spreadsheet. I do this in both of my leagues, and it takes about 30-40 minutes every week to manually do the rankings and email them out to all league members.

I would LOVE if Yahoo set this up in their Commissioner Tools interface. I use this standings format for both of my leagues, and it is a headache to manage the everyone's records, points, and rankings manually in a separate spreadsheet. Thank you for suggesting this here!
