Rosters/Lineups - Roster limits for positions.
This feature would allow commissioners to set the maximum and minimum number of players a team can roster at each position at a given time. For example, teams can have a maximum of 3 QBs on their roster or a team can have a minimum of 1 kicker. Currently there is no way to set the maximum or minimum number of players a team can roster at each position.

Its veterans with cajones or sheer geniuses that do such an engenius thing a poor rookies taking their lumps---just learning the ropes---that moan about such things.
The only logical conclusion is:
Respect their higher intelligence/experience and desire to be like them. -

Commish option is the best solution here....

This is one of the WORST suggestions I have read. It's not team x's fault he/she has good receivers stashed on their bench and you have trash starting. If you're going to cry, don't play fantasy football.

unfortunately that's part of the strategy. think of how it's done in the nfl.

Allow commissioner to set this limit.

HORRIBLE IDEA. This limits the ability to horde players as a tactic to trade for other players later in the season. Its a risky tactic but often works. Sorry you didnt get the RB you wanted... but maybe you should change your pick strategy next year.

This is a terrible suggestion made by people who pry didn't show up for live drafts. stacking certain positions is part of the strategy of drafting. You have to decide what position to draft and risk not having a backup for other positions. The system also has some limits in place during the draft.

having bench strength is part of the game. You choose your poison by neglecting other positions. I vote no for this suggestion.

If this is implemented, it would have to be a Commish option that is disabled by default. I wouldn't want this in my league and would be upset if enforced. But I'm not opposing having the option for those who would use it. Currently we do not have a problem and several managers elect to not have a backup Def or K to have a better bench lineup for other positions. Everything is a choice and it's called strategy...or lack thereof.

This is a non issue. You can not cap the amount of players at each position. All you can do is hope that it doesn't happen. This is more of a league issue and you should bring this up to the commish and not Yahoo.
I am in a PPR with 3 starting WR's and one in my FLEX, all #1's. I also have three more on my bench. If they perform I have good trade bait and maybe I can use it to my advantage.

It's called strategy people, if you're to chickenshit to go without a backup QB, TE, K, DEF that's your problem, don't make everyone else's competitive advantage suffer.

Disagree. That player will pay for im balancing his roster... No need for a nanny state, here

What a bunch of cry babies. It's called strategy. Maybe you should join an everybody gets a trophy league.

this is a terrible suggestion. stacking certain positions at the expense of others is called strategy. you have full control over your own roster on draft day. do more research or join a less competitive league, but this suggestion is a waste of time.

Yes, this is needed... i have to manually police the rosters. We ask that they maintain the following as their roster, 2xqb, 3xrb, 3xwr, 2xte, 2xk, 2xdef... Then after the draft, they all drop their 2nd k, def, te... and scoop up all the rb's and wr's... This is bad... so if you could set a minimum on the roster, they have to keep the qty's they drafted. It makes for a much more competitive league, because if you have an injury, you can actually get a decent player off of waivers...

I see this only being an issue in really large leagues. For example a 16 team league, you may want to limit teams to 2 QBs to ensure everyone gets a reasonable shot at a backup QB.

I say not necessary for this change.
Anyone with a bench full of the same position players isn't going to be a threat to win in a league anyway. If someone wants to employ that strategy I'd be happy to let them join my keeper league if an opening ever comes up.
I run a league with 3 IDP's and 6 bench spots. -

MaveRock this needs to be fixed or I am going to pull my hair out every league am commish of everyone is doing it and I do not support it at all an I am telling them to change it and they are all ******** and crying saying they have never heard of it being played like that and that they will not set the rosters if I fix it for and saying that they didn't know they had to fix it when clearly posted in my rules b4 they got in my league must have one of each starting position on the bench!!! It can't get no obvious!! It's nothing more then cheating in my eyes and if they ain't willing to go by the rules I will eliminate the whole league I won't deal with it.
