Rosters/Lineups - Roster limits for positions.
This feature would allow commissioners to set the maximum and minimum number of players a team can roster at each position at a given time. For example, teams can have a maximum of 3 QBs on their roster or a team can have a minimum of 1 kicker. Currently there is no way to set the maximum or minimum number of players a team can roster at each position.

Do we have any updates on this? League drafts are near. Other platforms have this and I am dying for it with Yahoo.

100% need this. Nothing is more annoying when people hoard players when they have no intentions of using them. Right now I run my league with a 4 spot bench to avoid this.

Definitely need this. Very critical for super flex leagues as well

Can we please give commissioners access to set a maximum on how many players a manager can hold for specific positions? Example, only four RB's, five WR's, two QB's, etc...

Any updates on this??

Can we please get roster position limits in Fantasy Football? Such as, a manager can only hold four RB's, five WR's, two QB's, etc...

As commissioner, you should be able to establish your own league rules. One of mine addresses this exactly. No one is allowed to hoard position players. You can keep 3 players, but only one at any given position, etc etc.
If you want position limits, establish position limits. -

Please implement roster/lineup limits! ESPN has it and there's absolutely no reason to NOT have it. Charge $10 to implement it! Who cares, just do it!!

Can we please get a roster limits option available for this upcoming season? Meaning, let the commissioner put a rule in place for the amount of players a manager can hold for a certain position?

Go play on ESPN if you want this. Quit crying about roster limits and get your knowledge up instead

This feature is available on other platforms and yahoo needs to jump on it. The bench and waiver wire will greatly improve if roster limits were available. Yahoo you need to do this in order to keep serious leagues coming back year after year.

This would be an amazing MUCH NEEDED addition. The fact that Yahoo doesn't have this, is one of the reasons I am trying to move my league to another format. Not only does it prevent managers from monopolizing skill position players, (which they eventually use for trades that other owners have to make to gain depth) but it also puts more emphasis on the draft, requiring one to come to the table with a strategy instead of playing keep away from other owners. Beyond that - limiting positions also keeps the wire stocked with players that you may actually need/want on your rosters, instead of being stuck with bottom feeders that wont provide you any value. Hording players isn't Fantasy Football - its a cheap way to expose the loophole that YAHOO wont close. ALL other formats allow for this. Yahoo, please do this

To prevent managers from "hogging" players/teams especially at the QB, TE, K, and Def/St. positions. Makes it difficult for managers to roster positions especially during bye weeks when this occurs and is not checked. It is really noticeable at the Def/St. position.

Allow for the editing of rosters positions for minimum and maximum number of players/teams for each position.

I am almost confused why Yahoo hasn't implemented this already.

This is a must! ESPN does this and is a basic feature that the commish should be able to enforce. For example, some teams hord QBs and/or RBs. Shouldn't be allowed.

This would be a great addition. It would prevent RB hoarding. It would also improve SuperFlex leagues since people could be limited to having 2QBs on the roster, ensuring everyone gets two starting QBs.
-
Shane Croker commented
The point is to prevent teams from hoarding and have more than 3 QBs/TE's/Def/St's/K's.
-
Shane Croker commented
Being able to limit how many QB's, K's, Defenses, a team can hold on there roster at any one time.

This is a must. People horde players, especially RB, and it’s crazy. I don’t think it’s strategy to stock pile players. Strategy is mixing and matching players based off bye weeks and matchups. In my league of 12, I’ve had the bench set at 5 for an 12 player rostered team. That’s the only way I can stop the hoarding. It still is difficult.
