Waiver - Allow commissioner to use continuous waivers with custom free agent periods
This waiver setting would allow the commissioner to use 'Continuous' waivers but also be able to select days that all players are free agents. For example, the league uses continuous waivers (players always on waivers) and the waivers process each night but on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays all players will be free agents and be eligible to be picked up in the event a team needs a substitute.

There needs to be an option to combine “continuous rolling waivers” with “game time - Tuesday” lockout period.
For example, my league has continuous daily waivers FAB, but this means that Sunday players need to be bid on by SUNDAY night and process Monday morning. This is both stressful and too soon to get real injury updates to make informed bids.
The only option now is to uncheck Monday as a process day, but if we do that, then no one can pick up players for a Monday game, which is not a realistic option.
There needs to be a way to have continuous daily waivers but still lock players from game time - Tuesday, so that monday waivers can still process but without Sunday (and Thursday) players, who would be locked until Tuesday night.in addition to this, there should also be an option to change the time waivers process (e.g., 12pm instead of 3am), so that continuous daily waivers won’t restrict you from picking up someone sunday morning if there is last minute injury news.

Yahoo is definitely lagging behind on this feature. My league is considering moving to another platform due to the lack of this feature alone. Especially since ESPN and Sleeper have this option available.

Our league would love this feature as well. Using daily waivers with the exception of Sunday (player ruled out last minute; FAs available to plug holes).

Sleeper & ESPN allows this I cant believe yahoo is moving so slowly on this MUST HAVE option

Add option to waivers so that you can pick certain days that waiver rules selected are followed but also allowed select days that all players available are free agents ( Like Sleeper has)

Any movement on this DEV team? There seems to be a lot of interest and I may also have to move my league to another platform that has this option for waivers.

This post is 2 years old. Not just that, but It's been 24th since the comment below me in October for 2022. Yahoo, why are you not doing even a single thing that the community wants to see?

Agreed with most everybody here. This request should be ranked higher than 24th. I don't know how many times I got screwed by your waiver system. That was why my previous league moved to another platform. Now that I joined a buddy of mine's league, I have to put up with this irritating feature again.

If you can't give us this option for next year, unfortunately we will have to find someone who can.

Our league (boomersooners ID# 584688) has been with Yahoo for many years. We have never used waivers for our free agents. This year we have several people who work on Sundays so I am trying to make it as fair as possible for everyone. We would like to have our free agents go on waivers at the start of each players game each week, but then go back to free agents first thing Tuesday morning (this option is not available for some reason). This would give everyone one day to put in a waiver claim on a player. Waiting until Wednesday seems excessive. If you can't give us this option for next year, unfortunately we will have to find someone who can.

This is by far my biggest ask for Yahoo leagues. My league still uses Game Day-Tuesday waiver system over Continuous because we feel that managers simply must have the ability to make game day pickups and the obvious reason for this revolves around the sport of football - a given player's status is often determined on the day of a game. With continuous waivers, it forces managers to often make unessecary claims just in case one of their game-time decision players are ruled out on gameday. It's just not fair for them to be forced to spend FAB on something like that. It's a trade-off that is so unnecessary with the currently available settings: Use Continuous to put an end to the race for adding news-related players but have no option on gamedays to make needed pickups, or don't use Continuous so we have gameday pickups but have a free for all during the week. Custom free agent days NEED to be implemented! It's a feature available on other sites and still can't believe Yahoo doesn't have it yet. I have asked about it every year going on 4 years now.

Another example of a super easy upgrade for yahoo that would make a lot of people happy but they choose not to do it.
Ideally, Waivers lock at game time and run through Tuesday night. Anyone not claimed goes back on waivers through Friday night. Then all unclaimed players come off waivers for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday games. Each player locks at kickoff of their game and remains locked through Tuesday night.
Problem With continuous currently is you can’t add anyone on game day. That’s why my league does kickoff to Tuesday. The problem with this is whenever there is an injury the fastest person gets the players. It should be that all players have a chance to bid.
Come on yahoo this is an easy fix.
