[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.

moving my 3 leagues to a different platform this year. what a shame, we've been using yahoo for years, and it really was the best platform until now. did Musk buy Yahoo or something?

WHY would you remove the message boards?? The chat feature is terrible and you have to sift through transactions to find a message? I can't even separate the chat into different leagues. Terrible decision made without thinking of how it would affect your users.

This is like ESPN FFB. It is a zero scape of sterile interactions. Nobody gets to cheer or brood about loosing. It’s like talking on the moon with your visor open.

I believe it BLOWS that the message board is gone. Obviously, UNIDEN excuse me. Yahoo, did not want to devote man hours to monitoring this. Plus in one league. A manager took offense to my comments as racially bias. So Yahoo thinking I called the guy a spook, spear chucker & or some other stupid name whites called blacks, African Americans or…?
I have a suggestion. Just read the comments as informative and sometimes comical. And forward the racial card that some conveniently play into the Round File! The insecurities of a few are fuel to erase what was a good avenue to help some by providing information about FFB and how to not be a reverse bigot! I totally miss the boards -

This is a very bad idea. Please bring back the message boards! Message boards allow us to talk about individual topics that we need to refer to or revisit throughout the year. I understand that you can pin certain topics to go back to but this is less user friendly than the old message boards and my league managers won't be able to figure it out. We previously had message board topics such as
Keeper Picks
Draft Order
Draft Day Details
Weekly Bonuses
Last Place PenaltiesThese are crucial messages for the message board that the league will refer back to many times throughout the year. We can not do this with the new chat feature.
PLEASE BRING THE MESSAGE BOARD BACK OR WE WILL HAVE TO LOOK INTO OTHER OPTIONS FOR OUR FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE!

Existing League Chat feature does not meet our needs of thread creation and visibility. We're going to look to move our league to another platform.

the message board needs to be brought back. this new chat **** is terrible. important information can easily get lost in all the chat nonsense.

When the commissionary in a league that's spread across the US asks for our opinion on a rules change we can't see everyone else's responses and ideas without a message board. Bring the message board back people that don't use it don't care if it's gone but people that do use it will find somewhere else to play if you don't.
The message board gave the commissioner and everyone else a forum to share ideas or smack talk with a reply-all option that isn't available in email or chat. Many of the older players don't use the chat feature or know where to find it. -

Open chats up! At least include an email league link to offer trade proposals. Why aren’t chats available? Is Yahoo afraid of meanies? Are you understaffed? Or is it just being lazy?

Message board needs to return. Important info is being buried in nonsense on the chat. Message board is easy to find the threads you need.

Besides just bringing back Message Boards, make them easier to use and more expressive. I want to be able to bold, underline, italicize, highlight text, or bullet/number text. Let us post pictures and gifs.

I HATE the new chat feature. Please bring back the message board. If anything thing, update the message board to allow us to post into it easier/better. I tried to post league records and had a tough time (wish I could just post a copy of our excel sheet or even just a screenshot of it, but pictures didn't always show up on the old message board). I also tried to post our draft order on the new chat feature. It was hard and confusing. I didn't know if everyone was seeing it or only a few GMs, I couldn't tab/enter down so I couldn't separate the text to make it easier to read or add a title. I am NOT A FAN OF NEW CHAT!

I am the commish of a keeper league. PLEASE BRING BACK MESSAGE BOARD NOW! Removing it is very detrimental to the way we play fantasy football in my league and downright stupid. I can no longer post rules and other very important info in an organized topic by topic fashion. I relied HEAVILY on the message board to make my league tick. I'm currently directing my managers to last years message board to read our rules, its unacceptable. We will be switching to a different site if yahoo does not fix this.

Turn it back on the message board is great.
And why you stopped grading mock draft???
Yahoo please don’t go backward! -

I'm commish for two 14 team keeper leagues. Removal of the message board is severely detrimental to the operation of these leagues. We use the message board to categorize important message threads, post trades with a timestamp, dues owed, winnings, proposed rule changes, ANYTHING LEAGUE RELATED.
After 15 years of using the YAHOO PLATFORM, I am going to consider removing the leagues from YAHOO and going elsewhere.
YAHOO has never been keeper league friendly anyway.. The "E-Mail" league function is as lame as it gets for a modern day app. You can't even post charts, lists, league constitutions, or anything league related.YAHOO PLATFORM HAS TURNED INTO A JOKE!!
SMFH :-(

Removing the message board is ridiculous. I know we can still view boards from past years, but this is where I update lists of champions, weekly awards, historic statistical records, owner records, franchise records, and so many more things that just DOES NOT WORK via chat.
Losing the message board is absolutely ridiculous and pathetic.
I've been in a football league for almost 30 years. We used to do the scoring by pen and paper by reading boxscores before it even became a regular online thing. Yahoo was a good platform for this that we have since used for maybe 20 years now. Losing the message board has really made me consider leaving for good.
Making changes and adapting is totally a good thing. But losing something so vital as a message board?! Really just an absurd idea. And I (and my entire league) plan to look elsewhere for a platform to use.
goodbye.

This is a terrible decision to remove message boards. The Fantasy Chat functionality does not support the same user experience and allow for different topics to be created. This is a deal breaker for me and our league will move to another platform next season if this isn't brought back.

It is awful that message boards were removed. As a league commissioner, I have a long standing tradition of providing a weekly summary to the league managers that is informative, funny, and increases engagement in the league. Your removal of the message board has killed this, something I have been doing for many years. How could this be seen as progress? Why are you actively making the experience less engaging? Is it really that difficult to maintain the message boards?

Don't like the change fellas. I am in 3 long running private dynasty/keeper leagues where the message board was our primary source for offseason tracking of rule changes, player movement etc. all elements of which are not served by the chat feature.

Our League dates back to middle school. We are in our thirties now. We had so many messages that are now lost due to this change. This is heartbreaking. Please yahoo, if you care about the people you serve, reinstate the boards back with all messages you have saved.
